Has it happened to you when you were about to say something then suddenly it totally slipped your mind and you have everyone waiting for you to put your message across?! It's taking longer and longer and you still can't remember what were you to say!!!
These days, when it happens to you, you will be teases incessantly. They'll use terms like "buffering". Mental block happens to everyone. Sometimes, the mind gets to process so fast, and there are times it just wants to take its time.
I just experienced it earlier, that's why I came up with this discussion. I was thinking of a word I was gonna use and no matter how I tried rehearsing the line in my head, I can't simply complete it because of that one word missing. My fingers had to stop typing for a few, I just stared at the monitor hoping the word will just pop out. And I started teasing myself in my mind. Am glad it happened not in front of friends, or else!
Share your buffering moment, peeps!

I got that situation many times...i think it in English but i can't find Vietnamese words to express it..then i need some seconds to think about it and find a right Vietnamese words to speak.
Sometime, suddenly all is cleared and i have no thing in my mind..i need to take 1 minute to think of a topic that i am talking about.
I think it is normal and can happen to anyone...

Oh, so it's more of a language related in your case, huh? You're mother tongue is Vietnamese but you're using English as your first language, am I right?

Because i did study in Korea for long time and i use English as an official language, I have no habit to translate from Vietnamese to English at all, all i think and speak directly in English. Now i still keep that habit when talking about my study major...

That happens to me sometimes. I have had it happen in the middle of a conversation when nothing even has distracted me. Sometimes I think my brain feels overloaded and just stops

I think it's because you have so many to share and they overlapped. You forgot what you're about to say because another idea came into mind and they all can't wait to be said anymore. :) Thanks for sharing.

Yes, it actually happens to I think most of us. But when I was a kid, we usually think that if you forgotten something that you were about to say, we say that it was actually 'taken by the devil' that is why you forgot it....lol.

oh, something new to me. I never heard of that before. When I was younger, I overheard people say that it's memory gap. The person is just being forgetful due to old age. haha
