Dear Friends I m an Indian but not proud ......... Reason being I m finding my country domestic situation getting deteriorating by increasing crime ,corruption and poverty/unemployment......... Further the Lokpal bill is making the condition worst since both people of India and the Indian government are strongly against each other .......... Do you agree especially as Indian that Lokpal bill is taking India to path of Civil war aided by other factors like increasing crime and inflation ............. Hare Krishna Ganesh

wonderful discussion but i want to what is the relationship between these two since civil war is entirely different and arises only neighbours or enemy countries infiltrate.so we have to keep increasing the demand and supply of the country somehow

Many many debates already been on this topic , personally I do not find it useful because to fight corruption there are ample tools, agencies and laws are already available in this country and legal system ,no one is thinking why its not working because people who will look after this are corrupt themselves so what we need is not a new law or new set of rules but general awakening of our heart and soul so we can feel our country men and try to fight out the corruption by promising not to be involved in any way with corruption and if someone can raise that feeling in the population corruption will not be there in our society.Again the negative aspect is the total system will collapse with this lokpal bill because many people will try to use it as a mean to fulfill their wishes because you can not avoid the chances of corrupt people themselves being selected for the post..now I do not think anyone can vow that he is pure, and when all the governmental employees will come to the purview of lokpal complaints will be in multiplied forms against each of official and employee we see and they all will then just spend time settling out the complaints against themselves and the work will simply stop moving.can you imagine what will happen..no one is thinking of that.. can the civil society people vow they are all pure and replace the millions of government people working as government employees.. people now a days just want to be before TV I think without thinking the repercussion..more brainstorming is required on this,I admire the civil society fight about right to information bill but not this time.

Hi friend, Let me share with you, what the Englishmen(or is it Americans) call my 2 cents on this topic. First, I do not feel that the initial hype that we witnessed, and the build up around August 2011 on Lokpal is there any more. True, the proposers of Jan Lokpal are not giving up. However, our public may not be able to sustain the fight for this bill. It would have led to a civil war, if people in much larger nunmber had participated in it, and had started a kind of civil disobedience of the type witnessed during India's independence struggle from 1915 to 1947. Is it possible now? Probably too difficult to say.

Last time I heard, India was a democracy which means majority rules. Any disagreement between the people and the government should be settled by elections and not by war. The financial situation in your country seems to be the same as the whole world. Governments need to learn they can't spend more than they take in. They should also realize that when you borrow you will eventually have to pay it back.

Hello my friend Ganesh44 Ji, I am like you and feel that whatever is happening, happening for good. During Mahabharata too world was coming to end, then during First and II ww too. Then manya Calander still hanging with warning that world will collapse by 2012. These are false, I think. This is just to gain popularity. Whaterver has tyo happen will happen due to our creator and never by any of such imaginations like Lok pal Bill. In our country when First Citizen uses the least comfortable conveyance, country will shine, why not put stop to Rs.6 Crore car for Presidernt now. Let's not thinka ll such things. May God bless You and have a great time
