i am really annoyed with the red ants which crawled into the wall of my room way up to my dress cabinet. an additional task for me coz i need to eliminate them before i get outnumbered in my own room -- haha (exaggerated reaction) -- but when it bites you, it is not a joke no more. why on earth, of all places they like to make my room as their pavement to their hive or what do you call by that. hate you ants, ouch!

I hate red ants too and I consider them a pest! It's a shame they chose you dress cabinet as a place to gather. Maybe there's something in the dress cabinet that is attracting the ants, so it's worth a check to see if there are any sweet things or the corpse of an insect/animal in there which might be attracting them. I've been bitten before by red ants, and it's really painful and unpleasant. I just hope they don't come around to bite you, and I also hope they don't build a nest in your house, if not it's going to be DISASTER!!!!

Wow, you must be a very clever girl! I've never thought of spraying perfume to make the ants lose their track before; I think it's an ingenious idea! I hope the idea works for you, as I can imagine what an irritating and horrifying experience it would be having to deal with those red ants.

haha... i need to be clever to outwit the ants. maybe they have this feeling that they can make me leave my room so that they can occupy my place.. hehe.. what a funny thought. lols again -- the idea of spraying perfume was a funny thing. i dont like the scent of this perfume thats why i have the spirit to waste a little bit of its amount at least it has its usage afterall. ;) -- because if this perfume is my favorite why should i just spray it to the ants, hehe.. hmm, not so genius -- im just trying hard to act like one ;) hehe

Red ants and black ants are enemies I think and I think the black ones need some comrades because the reds are so aggressive. Not that does us any good inside our home. I don’t mind an odd spider in the house but the rest need to go outside to find food. I have little sugar ants every summer and they are annoying though don’t bite. They are so small you think they are red pepper or salt or something. Until the speck moves. But they are only little ants.

Taking care to keep all the food tightly covered or in the fridge is a pain. I've used ant poison though I really hate using any kind of poison. It has worked in the past though it takes time. I wish there was an alternative (a small ant eating lizard perhaps) but though my little sugar ants look funny walking in a straight line I don't really like living with them. Big red ants on the other hand are way too aggressive and I do hope you get them under control.

yeah, they are annoying because they like to eat your foods especially sweet one like sugar. when you are not aware that there are already ants in your tea cup or mug, surely all of it in there will be mixed into your drink. haha.. in my case, i dont like to drink my milk with ants floating in it. all of it will be just thrown. so its already spilled. thanks for the post. ;)

yes, hi there.. thank you for the concern, i managed the problem already. ants were nowhere to be found in my room. i don't know if i did kill them all because their number really were outrageous. i had goosebumps when i saw some of them crawling in my window. whaha... you want a lizard to eat the ants? haha.. can i have one, at least?! hehe

red ants are took refuge to dry sites especially when it's rainy season. just like other organisms, they need shelter too and a place as their stock room and unfortunately they wanna share with you in your place too.hahha.they would love to insist on invading our homes in search of something tasty from either the sweet foods or flesh and greasy foods. Soapy water will both kill the ants it hits and it will destroy their chemical trail, preventing more ants from following in their tracks. This cheap and easy method consists simply of putting one teaspoon of liquid dish soap into a spray bottle and filling it with water. When you see ants, spritz them and that will be it!

I hope you get sorted that out soon. I have a problem with tiny flying green insects now, I don't know the exact species name. But it's a wonder how they can get in my room, as I have a mosquito web on my window, and it's put there in a stable way... those little creeps... and I work online sometimes, and they watch that, too, that how fast we write, and then, it's not good when I'm typing, and some of these insects keep on buzzing and flying around my head.

yes dear, i sorted this thing out now. no more insects in my room for the moment at least. you can't find any wholes in your room that the insects can enter? try to fumigate it. maybe it will help the problem. thank you for posting ..

Hi friend, sad to know that you found a lot of red ants in your dressing room and annoyed with it. Some times i too saw some red ants in the cup board, i will use the spray to remove them, as it is hard to tolerate its bite
