I just read on Yahoo News that a man wanted to donate a big tip to a waiter or waitress. That was his last wish before he died. Since he didn't get the chance to do it his family gave a waitress a $500 tip on his behalf!
I think that was so nice. It is great when people help others! =)

At first I read that "big trip" instead of "big tip". That is just great though and so sweet. I am sure that really made the waitresses day and hopefully she'll pass on the good fortune and help someone else in need when the oppotunity presents itself!

This kind of a last wish shows the good nature of the man. It certainly elicits our respect for him. His family is also very good to carry out his wishes. Sometimes people would not want to give out that much money. I felt very happy to read your discussion. I would always want to help others. I have always followed that policy in life. Whether I am helped back by people or not and whether they appreciate it or not, I would still retain my nature. Thanks for the great post.

We rarely see such kindness in people now. Certainly he was a very generous man. Since you say that the family was not well to do and yet they forwarded the money, it points to the good souls they possess too. If everyone in this world had this desire to help others in small ways, the world would be such a good place.

He was such a good guy and he had an amazing kind spirit! I am glad they carried his wish out, that was so nice. The family was excited to give out the money, I was surprised. They had no hesitation at all and they were not that well off themselves. I applaud them for not keeping it for themselves once they raised the money!

It is nice to hear things that are good. I wish that they would make things happen like that. I am so tired of hearing things that are bad all the time.

I agree, that is our purpose. I recently figured out that is my whole purpose of being here on Earth. Mine and my husband's whole reason for being here is to help people, that is all we do anyway but instead of worrying about bills or other things I have realized we need to worry about other people's problems and their relationship with God.
I think him and his family are amazing and doing the right thing. I know they will be Blessed for their kindness...

Yes me too! There are still good people out there. =) In life this is the way he was. On the website it said he had gotten a very rude waitress and he left her a $50 tip! It just goes to show the kind of person he was. The website is aaroncollins.org

So nice. I just hope that they tip the right waiter/waitress. I do not want to judge but I believe that some people need that money more than others, specifically because they use their cash for their immediate needs while others tend to gamble it away or spend it on vices. It's not really my business though, but I'd sure want to know where my help goes if I was the one helping as I'd feel bad supporting somebody's vices. Anyway, this is not the main topic here, so let me go back to this wonderful discussion. I hope more and more people are able to do good deeds not only before they die but everyday if possible.

It was nice. I think the tip went to the perfect waitress. When he gave it to her she was hugging him and the first thing she said is I am going to share this with everyone here! =) I thought that was really good. She was already paying it forward!

It was so great! Yes they did honor him thats for sure. Every time they reach $500 in his name they are going to do it again and again until the money runs out.
The waitress was shocked and so grateful! It was so nice. =) God is awesome your right.

That's just so moving and cute! As if there were more people like this... I work as a media observer, and it's kind of making me sad that almost all the news are bad ones, about murders and how a drunk driver got run over a kid... and it's such a gem somtimes to read and find a nice one, for example, about a local film getting a nomination for a prize or people giving out food to poor people.

It was so nice! Yeah, most of the time it is all the sad or bad things we see on the news, so depressing! It was really good seeing something so nice going on. =)

This story sounds interesting. I am happy to know that their is a heart who has a willingness to help others. We are bless by God to be a blessing to others. Financial assistance is not the only way of help other people.
