Soul mate is a popular term I learned about when I was in high school. Teens talk about it a lot as if they truly know what it is. Until now, however, I can't say I know what it really is. Is there even such a thing at all? But, what I do know is people come and go. And, there are those who simply just come to make us realize something about ourselves. They're meant to teach us lessons we never could learn otherwise. Just often, though, they happened to mean to us more than any other person who came into our lives so they leave a part of themselves in us. It makes us yearn for their presence that it starts to ache. And we just feel the pain in stead of just reminiscing the joys of those days we're with them. I think many of us mistake the feeling as pain. It's actually not. It's just we sooo miss them and the longing is too powerful. Uncontainable ...that it's like hunger not answered. We feel the heightened feeling so we forget how nice it is to be full.
