Now she like the instrumental classic songs like Bethoven, Mozart, classic guitar. My daughter who's going to be on her 15 birthday this coming 24th of July has change her new mood in listening to classic from the latest trend of music now. While I'm watching TV last night I don't know that I already took a nap, and I woke up when I heard a classic songs I just thought It's on the TV. But it's not I try to look at my window if someone who is playing through a radio. But I know it was coming inside the house, so I tried to go to my daughters room she's listening and watching a classical concert through You Tube while doing her assignment. I told her what a power trip you have. But I'm glad that she appreciate classical music like that. I know it's part of being on her adolescent period discovering new things that they will suit there taste. How about your children any changes you observe to them while they are getting older? Happy MyLotting!!!

That is wonderful! I never had any children of my own as my career had me looking after other people's children and I was very little at home. But that was a wonderful surprise for you , as it is pretty well established that classical music is more productive to study by. Your little girl is growing up!

I don't have any children yet but when I do, I would definitely encourage them to like music and even learn and be good at any musical instruments. It's one of my frustrations in life as I have really wanted to be good in any musical instrument but I am too lazy to practice and all I ever did was learn the basics and quit.

Although my kids loves music a lot and they appreciate almost all music genre I was still a bit amazed when my daughter all of a sudden falls in love with Andrea Bocelli from Gerard Way the lead singer of rock music "My Chemical Romance" Actually what amazes me is her sudden interest with learning Italian language the moment she started liking Andrea Bocelli. Also my second son who is an "emo" hehehe- a die hard fan of emo music shifted to oldies- like Bread, England Dan John Ford Coley, and other balladers. Anyway, we all love music here and one common denominator is "Country Music" we all love it...

I still have a few years before my kids reach the puberty age, the time when hormones go haywire. I guess you're daughter is just trying to see for herself if classical music really helps the brain function better since I once came across and article saying that babies in the womb exposed to classical music are likely to perform better compared to those who aren't. I know your daughter is already an adolescent but as they say it's never too late.

That wonderful that your almost 15 year ol has such an interest into classical music...to me that is a rare choice of music for an teenager, but to each his own..My chidren are well well adults but my grandsons are to busy being into sports to consider classcal music.. But they are good boys and as long as they are respectiful young men I can't ask for anything eles.. for I truly think todays youth have lost or never learn how to respect other people and other peoples property... Kudos to my grandsons...I am very proud of them as I could be they are 19 and 13....

I also think it is good to observe various moods of the children and also helping them when they are sad and also supporting them in their life.

Music is a very powerful tool to change moods, attitudes and emotions. When my kids are a little bit younger, we usually hear christian or spiritual songs and hymns. We them at home, we hear them on radio, we hear them and participate in them in our Church. As they grow, I know that they are opening their ears to other kinds of music from the world. I just hope and pray that they keep on with their spiritual songs and hymns that will uplift their soul and not just their emotion.
