This is your decision always but if it was me I would not feel right about being down at work. For my own self esteem I would do something related to my work and raising our moods does qualify. Good moods, happy employees are beneficial for companies for public and internal relationships. Something related to your interests and work performance will qualify you for a better job and/or qualify you to do your job more effectively. I worked in a corporation and found other work to do that I didn’t know existed until I looked for it plus some companies have learning programs. If not you can do things yourself and find an enjoyable course as suggested in this discussion. Continue to participate in mylot and tell us how it is going. Recommend me as potential employee (contract me as a job coach) in your work place.

You can try some site where you can earn money for doing/finishing some task. It will worth your time and can give extra income.

There are many sites you can check out and earn extra money online. Might keep you busy when you're finished with your work projects and give you the opportunity to learn and earn. I know it makes me feel as though I have accomplished something when I use my computer time to earn some cash. There are so many discussions on myLot that it would take a long time to respond to several each day. I'm retired so I do have plenty of time to browse the internet. Good luck.

Mylot is a good place to spend time in online. You can read many interesting articles, learn new things, make new friends, and earn while doing all of that. You can even start your own discussions and share your thoughts or inquiries here as well. Don't you think that's a good enough way to spend time online? Although, if you do want to watch videos then maybe YouTube will do. You can search for funny videos there and view them. I am not working yet but I tell you, most of my time online I now spend here in mylot and I enjoy it.

good day pollydhuca, with reference to your post, there are a lot of things you can do having an internet connection. aside from those what you have shared, a lot of task you can do. just try to have some research and for sure you will gonna find one.

I don't know, I'm sorry 'cause I'm very bored with internet myself. I love movies, so I watch videos, movie trailers or search for movies or something, but then too I get bored and stop..

I have to use the internet a lot during my day to day life because of the fact that I earn my living online. This means that it is very hard for me not to spend more than eight hours each day connected, and I often worry about my health because of the amount of time that I spend in front of my screen. But there is not all that much that I can do about it because of the fact that it is my job and there is no way that I would be able to cope with a different job at the moment. The internet is a wonderful thing but you have to be careful not to waste your entire life on it.

Hi pollydhuca, Seems like you have a lot of spare time while you're at work. If I understand you correctly you are using this spare time to surf the internet, reading articles and chatting with friends. I guess at the end of the day you're not happy with what you're doing. May I suggest you take a hard look and do some self examination. What are you missing? Perhaps you feel that you are not accomplishing much with your time, maybe you feel it's a waste of your time. In that case perhaps you could use the time to further your education by signing up for online courses. Or you could take up a new skill. Just my opinion. Have a nice day.

Use your free time to earn money online. I envy you with the kind of job you have since it looks like you have loads of free time at work. I was working before and yes I spending all my 8 hours in front of the computer, but I don't have time for anything else to do with the computer and the net. It's all work, work, work. If I were you, I'd take that opportunity to maximize my earnings online. instead of just reading article and chatting with my friends. Think about it, you don't have to pay internet bills at home its already free at work plus you're earning extra money too! For me, it'll be more than enough for me to be motivated and happy.

Well, if you have free time as you said there are a lot of things you can do of course. You can desigen logos if you like photoshop program. I think you shouldn't download the progra because there is one online already. Also, you can listen to audio books. There are a lot of them of you make a search a find what you like. hi, pollydhuca.. waw, how light once your work :) I think you should do useful things with your existing Internet connection, possibly with other businesses. I currently own a vacation now and feel bored at home, I searched for articles that could support my college next semester.

I try to use my spare time for the Internet but I cannot do it regularly.
