I went to the office wearing a three-fourth sleeves polo and skirt. When I came in the office my friends from other departments told me that I look so gorgeous with my attire. Out of curiosity, I supposed, they asked me where I bought the thing. So I told them I bought it from ukay-ukay (second hand/relief goods)in the market across the street for Php 15.00 or $ .40. They were all amazed and decided to go there after office hours.

Don't worry, you are not alone. I am also an avid visitor of the second hand shop in my city. My gym equipment, which is the dumbell, barbells and the bench, i got it from a second hand shop at a half price. Also i have a few cloth and 3 pair of shoe that i got at a very cheap price. It is still in a very good condition. Maybe it was bought by a rich person who used it once and decided to sell it to the second hand shop. It's a good place to find bargains and sometimes you will be surprise to find things that you never thought of.

I love thrift shopping. Many of my cutest finds have come from thrift shops, and I get the most compliments on my outfits that are completely or primarily from thrift shops. Thrift shopping is both budget- and eco-friendly. That's part of why I like it. I also love the thrill of the hunt--seeking and finding great pieces amongst the racks of clothing.

Yeah, I do this a lot too. There are so many good stuff there. You just have to know how to choose. It all depends really on your taste.

Second hand does not mean ugly and bad. I used to buy computer peripheral from second hand market in internet (such as TipidPC). Miss the time when I hunt for second hand goods... Here, it is difficult to find second hand market...

I've also done some shopping from thrift shops or second hand shops, before. At first, it was fun and enjoyable to have found good stuff and bought them at really dirt cheap prices. But, it takes some effort and patience to really scourge for good ones. What I don't like about the experience is the dusty racks and the awful smell of the items. I had to wash the items with a lot of soap and conditioner to take aways the smell.

That was nice of them! Yeah, thrift store, second hand shops...whatever you want to call them..they are full of nice stuff. The stores dont put out junk, torn, stained stuff. It is mostly just stuff that the kids have out grown way before they could wear it out, or seasons change and "no sense keeping that till next winter...it won't fit" times and when adults put on or take off weight. Most clothes in thrift stores are nice and you get them for so cheap. I shop mine regularly, but not for clothes as my bust size in not that common and things just don't fit me and with no fitting rooms...but I have gotten great deals on furniture, household items, toys and things like that. Last month I got a HUGE deal on some fantastic fabric. I quilt so it was just the best...spent about $30 for about $300 worth of fabric. I saw some of it in the fabric store next time I went! Yes..thrift, second hand stores..are the best. Yard sales are the next best.

I love shopping at thrift stores! I've bought some very nice things for $1-$4, merely pennies on the dollar. I practically live in sweat pants/shorts and hoodies/t-shirts since I work from home, but I still can't see spending top dollar for those items. I will occasionally buy a top to go with jeans, but still see no reason to pay full price if there's something nice at the thrift store, often brand name and sometimes still with tags on them.

My favorite place to shop second hand is yard sales. You will be amazed at what you can buy for almost nothing, We buy clothes , household items, toys , and lots of baby items for our three great grand babies born in one year.. We sure saved a lot of money on that

I know alot of people who like to buy clothes at second hand stores. I would like to but I don't like looking through countless clothes to fine something in my size! I am a 3 or 4 plus size. I sometimes can find clothes at Walmart to fit me. Other times I have to order out of magazines that carry my sizes. I need to lose weight. Have lost a few pounds but more will come off if I work on it!
