Yes, this is very sad news. It's a great loss to Indian cinema. We have lost many such legends in the past 2 years. For example, last year Dev Anand & Shammi kapoor passed away. Dara Singh will always be remembered as a powerful actor. He was epitome of strength and that is the reason suited the role of Hanuman in Ramayana so well.

welcome to mylot. yes. it is a big loss. in 1980s Dara singh means Hanuman and Hanuman means Dara singh. I use to watch serials regularly. In those days we were not having this many channels. mostly doordarshan only . interesting.
may his soul rest in peace,.

Its kinda hard to believe that 'he is no more'.Such is(not was) the character of that man.He was able to cast a strong un-erasable image in every Indian's mind.As an Individual freestyle wrestler he was a huge success with zero defeats. But why he hasn't been an olympian. He had potential to bag many Olympic gold for India, through out his long carrier as a pro wrestler. Is there a special reason for that?I don't know.
