obsessed with the supernatural fiction genre

I usually go through phases with what I want to read. Currently if it has a werewolf, vampire, witch or dragon in it, I am willing to try and read it. Found a new author that I really like, and the book was actually labeled as romance, but it had a dragon on the cover. Her name is Katie Macallister. I just finished the second book in one of her series, and have 2 others en route to my local library (will have to wait until Tuesday to get them). I have read the following authors(most of what I can get my hands on by them) so far: Charlaine Harris, MaryJanice Davidson, Vikki Petterson, Laurell K. Hamilton. Any supernatural authors or series that you can suggest would be fabulous.

I love Charlaine Harris. Her writing style is very witty and funny. I've heard of Katie Macallister. What are the titles of the books?

The series I am reading by Katie MacAllister is the Aisling Grey Guardian series. The first in the series is called You Slay Me. I just finished Fire Me Up. This series leads into another series, and from what I have read online, the second series makes more sense when you have the background from the first series, but still readable without.

Oh I see. What is the genre of the series? Is it Young adult? Or same genre as with Charlaine Harris' books?

definitely adult, not young adult. My local library puts paper backs in one area and that area is arranged by genre then author, if they are hardbacks, or the whole series then they are in the general fiction by author. that is why I am trying to get some new authors to explore.

Well if you love Vampires then Anne Rice is the way to go in my opinion. COuld be because they were the first ones I read and will always be my favourite vampire novels. There are so many these days they aer so trendy. I miss the days where I'd tell people I love vampires and I'd get strange looks like I was creepy. Now they ae all the rage and all these authors are jumping on the bandwagon

I completely forgot about her. I will have to see what the local library has when I get there next. I hate to start a new series right now. It may have to wait a few weeks.

Well there are quite a few in this series so I would wait if you're in the middle of something else but they are really good

I love Hamilton's series too. Jocelynn Drake's books are about a female 600-year-old vampire, Jennifer Rardin has also vampire books. Rachel Caine has two awesome series I read, the Weather Warden and Outcast Season series, these aren't vampire reads but supernatural, but the author has vapire series but I haven't read it it's the Morganville Vampires. Vampires and witches are in Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan series. You can check out the authors here, have fun: http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/h/kim-harrison/ http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/c/rachel-caine/

I did read Jocelyn Drake's series, just forgot as I was typing this up. I grabbed the first in Kim Harrison's series but have yet to read it. Hoping to finish up a series I am working on first, but if my other books do not get in, I will start in on it. I have never heard of rachel caine, so I will have to look into it.
