Fireflies

Its raining in goa at the moment and yesterday night there was no eletricity for some time. I went out for some time to get some fresh air from the porch. As i wen outside, I saw Fireflies, so many of them. It was so beautiful scene. I loved it so much. I was wondering how beautiful the world is. before i used to see one or two. but since it is rainy season, there are many around. And normally when everywhere light is there, it is hard to see them. So it was dark all over the place and they were so clear. their light was like flicking lights. beautiful. Have you have ever experienced this scenario?

Everytime I see fireflys, it reminds of the miracle of nature. It is hard to believe an insect can generate light NATURALLY. I don't see them in my hometown. But, when I am in another state, I catch the sight of them making a light show. Fireflys are one of my favorite insects. I wonder if studying them can help produce a natural source of light. Well, who knows, but I wouldn't want their numbers to dwindle from experimenting.

yeah that's true, nature is so beautiful. I also feel like catching them and putting them in my room and off the light of my room. It would be fantastic but i don't want to harm them. They are better outside. I used to see one or two before but now since it is rainy season, there are too many of them.

hello friend,i never experienced this sinerio. But i have seen fireflies. I always wonder what makes them light up?

yeah i also wonder what makes them light. its like they have a bulb and electricity to light. it is really wonderful creation. I remember somebody here on mylot had kept a picture of firefly squids. I have never seen that. I wish to see them one day. I think firefly and squid firefly have same mechanics to light.

Yes when we were young, we have to go to our grandparents for some vacation. They live in a farm and during the night, we can be able to watch fireflies. This time, I know of a place where one of their tourist attractions is the firefly watching.
