West Indies cricket had a welcome good news as they won the ODI series against the Kiwis. This comes on the back of their T20 series win also against the Kiwis. I think the last few months have been good for the Carribeans with the return of the big players such as Gayle, Pollard and Bravo back to the national team. Now they are also beginning to gel as a team and win matches together. As a cricket fan for me having a strong West Indies team is a necessity. What are your views on the re-emergence of West Indies as a cricketing nation? Cheers! Ram

I am glad to see West Indies winning the series and this resurgence will surely help them achieve new heights in the coming days. With T20 world cup on the plate, this victory will help them prepare for the tougher challengers.

I think their batting is suited for Limited overs game and the T20 variety. I think they might be serious contenders for T20 World Cup if they gel together as a team. Cheers! Ram

I think West Indies team is getting better and better. I also want West Indies to have a greater pool of players like 20 good players than the playing five. One thing to do is to play matches against Associates teams like Ireland and play some good new players in these matches and see how many good players they can produce that are able to play against test teams. I think they did a good job in winning matches against Kiwis.

I also think they have very good team and most probably one of the best players seeing the players play in IPL.

I actually think that they have a great pool of players. But they simply were not coming together as a team. Now that they have they are a dangerous side. Let's see how they perform in the T20 World Cup. Cheers! Ram

That would be fine for the West Indies and that they won it and I think now they will do more better and also it is fine for the Caribbean players. Board of WI must encourage the palyer to perform what they did and do more good performance and come out of the cave. West indies need players like gayle to play for thier team and all disputes need to be solved. Old player the charm of the west indies must be return to nthem and they must be good.

hello Ram West Indies was really good..Gayle is back.Their batting (weak point)is looking stronger than ever(for a while 'ever').The second match was very dull.I thought they were on their way down, but they came back and defeated kiwis..Good show. cmon it was an under par performance by the kiwis.By current form,'even' Indian team with all those cripplers, can beat them...'pun intended'

Yes, agreed it was a under par performance by the kiwis. But remember some time back the Windies lost a home series against Bangladesh. So in that sense they are on the up. Actually their performances in the limited overs matches in England were not too bad either. Cheers! Ram

Yes, Gayle already showed his utility in the first test match with a fantastic century. It really put West Indies on the driver's seat for this match. Cheers! Ram

Yeah but that was without Gayle right? Without Gayle,West Indies is just West indies A.B or C.. Good to see perceptual Underdogs like WI,Bangladesh defeating quality sides. Its a good sign for world cricket.

I think with the explosive batting line up that they have, they will definitely be in competition for any of the limited over competitions. Now with Sunil Narine, their bowling is also getting a bit of teeth. Cheers! Ram

I think that everyone is getting a bit carried away. They have beaten New Zealand who looked a poor team. They do look a lot better with the return of Chris Gayle but this team is the same one that got soundly beaten by England.

I agree that beating New Zealand is not the greatest achievement for the WI team. But what is more important is that they are beginning to gel as a team and starting to build confidence. And confidence can transform this team. Cheers! Ram

Hi With those players surely they have get good teams now. And they beat the kiwis so giving proof of that too. West Indies is good team but the problem is they are not consistent. Let's see if they able to manage this consistency in next series too.. But for now they have do well, and deserve the win. I am glad that they finally get off those issue with Gayle, and now he is back in team. Surely nobody can ignore such a good player.
