Last night was the best because when I looked up the skies, wow, for the first time in a long time, I saw stars, plenty of stars! It's been a long, long time that we'd been experiencing dark skies and rains every night. Thunder and lightning have become part of these gloomy evenings and I dread the coming of nights since they usually came with thunder and lightning. Last night was a great change. I looked up the skies and there I saw twinkling stars. They all look so happy. Wow, I learned to really appreciate the beauty of stars last night. I hope they keep appearing in the evening. They are so beautiful to behold. When was the last time you looked up to see the beauty of nature up there?

Last night was the last time I look up the sky. And same as you, I was happy seeing so many stars up there. I don't know what's with the stars that it just gave me a very nice feeling while I was looking at them. Then as I continue watching them, I just suddenly remember this one special person whom I haven't seen for many years.

i love a clear cool night.. me and my sisters used to get the blankets out and lay on our backs just staring at them, trying to figure out which constellations were which and see what other pretty pictures we could see out of the stars we could see. such magical times. i do miss them days. Will have to get my nephews out in the back garden to do the same.. imagination is great!

As a kid I used to see these bright stars almost every night. Now, they seldom come.

There is something nice about a clear night sky but something bad at the same time. Living in the city, I don't actually see many stars because of the glare from the city lights. But, clear sky also means it is hot! Today was 41 degrees Celcius and tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter. Even now, getting towards midnight, it is 33 degrees. It will be an uncomfortable, sweaty night!

It's sad to think about the future. Will we no longer see these beauties? I do not want to think about it.

Oh this sounds amazing. I live somewhere that unless the clouds are in my way I can almost see the stars every night. I would be really depressed if I lived in a city because I just love nature and being in it daily. It is so nice when you have been away not able to see the stars and then you have a wonderful night like that. I am glad you were able to experience this. It just makes you feel so alive inside, for me it does I mean. I am filled with love of the earth at times like this. I wish that our world was not so set in its ways that we destroy the beauty of the nature we have. Once we destroy it, we can not get it back. I hope that this area I live in will not be torn away like the rest of nature. There are so many places that are laid barren or taken over now because of population. I understand the growth but it is still very sad to me to see this happen. Enjoy the stars more often my friend.

As I live in a little town with very little pollution, I dare say that I can rejoice at a crystal clear sky quite often. However, it seems to me that when I was a kid, stars were much brighter, simply better to be seen. I don't know what factors besides pollution or temperature can influence the visibility, though.

I am now responding a day after I wrote the post and tonight I see a huge difference. I looked at the skies to see the stars again but I thought I only saw a couple of them not-so-bright stars.

I use to like sitting out side and chilling out, i use to look up at the sky and tell my children that the stars were their grand parents that had passed away looking down on us. I have not sat outside at night for sometime now, but i think it is really nice to see the stars up in the sky.

Hi, Its really nice to hear that you saw a beautiful starry sky after so many days of gloomy weather. Here, our skies are mostly clear on all days and whenever I am looking out of my window, I can see the beautiful twinkling stars. Sometimes I go out in the terrace to watch them and as I keep gazing, I get completely lost in them. I have often felt a thrill on seeing the stars for a long time. I have wondered at the vastness of the universe and of its unknown depths. Truly, nature can be fascinating in its beauty!
