Do you think there's a hidden meaning with this song? I saw an article that the Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine broke up with his long time gf, Anne Vyalitsyna. But he is already with another Victoria's Angel now. A lot younger than him. She's Behati Prinsloo a friend of Anne. I guess Anne and Adam had a quiet and respectful separation since that's what she told the press. I think nah.. The song is just a song and nothing else. No hidden meaning or whatsoever for Adam since he easily forgot and moved on from his ex.

I agree with you. I think the song was written without any connection with his former and current flames. Sometimes, the ideas of artists just flow naturally - with or without inspiration.

I love payphone, also trivia on maroon 5's song payphone they won the Most break up song at teen choice award 2012, well just today hehehe hooray!

im trying to figure out what's the meaning of the song or it it does have any hidden meaning for adam, but i guess , the song's meaning is not related to his real life,
