Had a solemn yet fun Christening celebration for our baby

Our baby is now a month and a half old, and its about time to get her baptised and be part of the Christian world. We invited only our closest family and friends to join us for the mass and a short party right after. 6 of our friends stood as sponsors or godparents for Baby Breanna, and they brought gifts that we really appreciated. We booked a small restaurant who served good food with a good price. They were nice enough to accommodate us for a buffet, which they don't normally offer, since they primarily serve ala carte menu. We had the whole place to ourselves and it was just comfortable enough for a group of 30 heads. I bought a cake, a tarp, and some souvenirs to give away to the guests. We tried to limit the budget for the whole celebration, but it still cost us more than what we expected. Nevertheless, it was worth it and we had fun being with our family and friends again for a gathering.

It's always a happy occasion when family and friends meet. Moreso because it's the Christening of your child. But yeah, budget is tight these days. Usually I'm just glad festivities are over and things go back to normal until another fun time comes! Have a great MyLot experience! Welcome to the Christian World to you baby!

And, if it's worth the gathering, I'm sure anyone would risk spending a little more than what you've imagined to shell out. It's the joy that the celebration brings that matter the most. However, for some who really have nothing to spare and even have a hard time getting 3 meals in a day, they should just think more about their daily needs and save extra money up for the rainy days.
