Why is there so much drama on Ladies Tennis Leagues?

I don't get it... you would think that when women get to the stage of their life that allows them the free time to join a Tennis League they would leave the drama out of it and just have a good time. Instead I have encountered grown women 35+ lying about a ball being in or out... transposing numbers on the score ... gossiping ... and being just nasty and unwelcoming... any other experiences out there and how did you combat or oversome the Drama on the Courts... ????
