i can't stand looking right into the bright screen monitor. so i just decreased the brightness of the screen. it is quite dim but still the letters are visible and it is still clear enough not to give me a headache reading on the screen. i just don't like every time my eyes would just suddenly have problem. i don't know if this s permanent problem already. so i hope that my eyes can still recover from this problem.

There are many things one can do for this i.e. either they can decrease the brightness as you did or buy a anti-glare screen an fit it on your display or buy a specs to avoid the harmful rays.

Eyes is the one of the most important sense organ to see the beauty around us. I think you need to consult your eyes soon to a doctor so that you need not to take risk with your health.

Good idea that is what the adjustment is for your comfort. Other lighting in the room can make a difference too. One tip I've found works for me is look away from time to time. A picture, a window or something of interest in the room will take you eyes away from the screen and help them re-focus and reduce eye strain. I get blur if I'm emotional and sometimes I do get this way after say reading a heart felt subject but this too is normal I think.

Are you staying in front of the computer for a long time? Maybe you need to rest your eyes from time to time. Personally, I wear clear shades when I am working so that the reflection of the monitor would not run directly into my eyes.

You can buy an LED monitor that reduces the strain on your eyes. Or you can set your screen to high contrast (black contrast)
