Barack Obama's slum-dwelling half-brother in Kenya says he needs no help from his powerful sibling, in an election-year documentary that is highly critical of the US president. "I think he has a family of his own, I'm a member of his family, but I'm over-age, so I help myself" said George Obama. When I read the article about this documentary it seems that Barack Obama's brother doesn't need help from him and that he can do on his own. I don't think we have to blame the president if any of his family members doesn't want his help in anyway. It doesn't mean that when one of your family is fortunate in life, that you can just ask for money or assistance. I know a lot of people who have a brother or sister who's rich but his/her siblings are not. Maybe we should just leave him alone since he might be doing good by himself and not make it a big deal at all.

It's not the choice of the President really if he wants to help his half brother. it would have been different other wise if it's a Fil-am President lolz. its his choice, maybe the half brother is not close to him because i have cousins but we are not that close in terms of financial help

i do not see a point in bringing this fact in the presidential debate. it might be of human interest, but the guy already said that he is Ok. i understand that the opponents of the incumbent president tries so hard to discredit and stain his reputation for projecting an unhelpful sibling. what can the president do when the one supposedly receiving a help does not want it?
