A heating pad helps, just get those little ones so you can put it on your tummy while sitting down at work. I wouldn't advise taking pain delivers every time because i don't think it's healthy to be dependent on it every month when your period comes. Also, try to avoid drinks with caffeine for the first 2 days. Drinking hot milk might help. Should the pain is really unbearable that you are indisposed the whole time you have your period, maybe you should consult an OB so it can be prevented before it worsens. They say eating chocolates help you to get better, I think it does help me during my time of the month. Or maybe I'm just a sucker for chocolates that I tend to ignore the cramps while I'm munching on some lol!

You should bring a heating pad. It really helps! And don't skip any meal for you will suffer more. Drink lots of water. If it gets worse, take a pain reliever like Midol.

Just try to have a hot bath or a heating pad on your abdomen. It makes that area relaxed but this is just temporary. There are actually medical treatment so if you want to try, consult your doctor. For your irritation, I think it is because of the uneasiness or sometimes hormonal imbalance.
