My family will be spending 4 days and 3 nights in Hongkong on November. I am really excited for my 18 year old daughter to visit Disneyland. Disneyland is the only place that I am very sure to visit once we get there. However, I tried to check in the internet and got some good reviews of some tourist destination there. Well, it is our first time and we really don't know much about the place. I think Hongkong is quite big and we are quite worried about the kind of accommodation that we can get into especially that we have our daughter with us. Hotels are quite expensive and though they have the so called hostels their but I don't think it would be comfortable for us since most of them have negative reviews. Well, probably we will find more options as days go, we still have like four months to prepare for it. Anyway, does someone here can share their experiences in Hongkong. Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi shello, I have the same plans in mind. We will also be going to HongKong in October. It'll be our first time to be there, and first time with our little 4year old outside the country. I am very excited about the activites we'll have, especially going to Disneyland. It'll be a thrill to see the very popular amusement park. I've come across this website that has a lot of information about the place. Do check it out and learn more: http://www.hongkongextras.com/index.html HongKong is not a very big area. It is made of islands, and you can get to one island easily thru any public transport like buses or trains. So, no need to worry much on where you will stay to be close to most destinations.

Hi there. Thanks for the info. By the way, my daughter is only 18 months old by November I actually made a mistake on that post. Yeah, I spoke to a friend last night and he told me that everything is easy there and accessible. We are all very excited and we are looking forward to that.

Hi. That site is very helpful. Maybe we should have a print of it to serve as a guide during our vacation. Cheers!

18 months? Wow, isn't that too young to bring along a very crowded place? We have actually been waiting for our little girl to get to this stage before we want to book for a HongKong trip because if we took her there when she's still a baby, she won't enjoy it anyway. And, she won't remember anything, I bet. Nevertheless, that's your choice. A friend told me that you can still enjoy a lot of shows, instead of the rides. Most rides have age and height limit, so you may not be able to take your baby with you. The site indeed has a lot of information. I will be jotting down notes from that on those that I need to refer to when we get to HK.
