Everytime my 3-yr-old kid is not feeling well I'm so worried. I can't resist. I tried to be calm but then I can't help myself. Yesterday, he has an allergic reaction. He experienced itchiness in his whole body. I let him take "alnix syrup". It's antihistamine. It's his first time experiencing this and I don't want it to happen again. Do you know what kind of vitamin needed for him not to have this allergy again?

Hi... I don't know much about medicines etc. But I'm touched to read the way you worry about the child. It is natural too, as you're the parent. Just don't over-worry and don't be over-protective. Because when he grows up, he's gonna have to face the harsh world... Just an advice! Take care... My blessings for the little one...

Hey... You should not. Protecting your kid is good... But don't do it over.. Even if you do it, make sure the kid'll be ready to face realities when he's on his own. My Ma made this mistake. It took me years & costed a lot, to learn the ways of the world. I am just trying convey a message to you Miss... Make your kid strong enough, so that he won't feel scared when he faces the harsh realities...

I'm trying. Just worried that someone might bullied him without my knowledge. I'm thinking that maybe when he's a year older I'm gonna enroll him in taekwondo/karate for his self defence. What do you think? Any advice.

It's really alarming to have an allergy specially when it's for a kid, You are not sure, what caused his allergy actually. Giving him antihistamine was all that we could initially do, but to consult a doctor would be best. It might be a symptom of another disease.

Went to the doctor yesterday and she prescribed more dosage to the antihistamine my son took. She said that as long as there's no fever continue using the medicine for 5 days but if fever occurs go back to her ASAP. And now my son is doing fine already. Thank to GOD.

Did he eat, drink, use or do anything different yesterday than he does normally? An allergic reaction can occur if we have too much of something that we normally have, which causes our body to think it is bad and our body start to fight it. However, many allergic reactions occur when we try something new, which is how we can sometimes pinpoint the cause of an allergy. The very best advice that I can give you is to take him to the doctor, because the doctor is the one that can best diagnose and treat an allergic reaction.

That makes me wonder coz he eats normal food before the allergy occur. I really want to know why it happens. For now, I'm starting to find a good pediatrician for my son. The better one. Sometimes I don't know it's just that we can't trust doctors all the time.
