So! I found this site on the internet that has something to do with networking. Recruit people to sign up in their website under a referral link. My concern is that I dont have any skills in inviting people to sign up. Could you please give me some tips on how to do this?

If I were you, don't waste your time with the networking business whether online or personal invitation. There are those who were born to be salesmen and they have a gift that easily persuades people to follow their lead. For personalities who are a little reserved and shy to approach other, use your other skills to earn money that way you'll feel rewarded and that your efforts are worth the try.

Use all hands of the Great Octopus called Internet. Face Book, Orkut, and Other social networking site where you are a member, email all your contacts put your referral link as your signature in your email account. for all mails just send reply with your signature. :)

find a social networking website, find a large number of friends/networking partners. Publish your website under this social networking, and your done..!

with reference to your post, joining a network has its ups and downs. thus, you will really need good people to promote your business. here in online world, you will be needing a lot of social bookmarking sites to promote your online business. aside from the people you will need to be your referral, you also need to do your part. and that is, promoting your link to those social sites. as i have learned, skill is only a part to start earning, hence, you also need to have the ability to gain more readers and be interested to your invites.

I am not good and persuading people that is why I can hardly get into things like that. But what many do is they will use social networking sites as well to inform and let others know about it. I am sure you know which sites will give more feedback to you. You could try tell them through forums as well. They are so many forum sites on the internet that talk about this.(^^)

Post your referral link on facebook, blog, ect...And one more,you should check that site is legit or not..if you don't want to waste your time for scam site.
