How many people...... still support him?

Now I was talking to my friend last night and he was telling about how many people actually believe that Rush Limbaugh is an extremely smart guy and listen to him for a lot of their political news. Some believe he is more than just an entertainer and actually follow what this idiot says. He sent me a clip last night and wow.. just wow.
Why am I asking about all how many republicans support him and his ranting?
Because I just heard the most idiotic thing I could have possibly heard come out of his mouth.... for the moment. I am very sure he was more idiotic things to say, but for now this tops the cake.
Rush Limbaugh went on a mini rant about The Dark Knight Rises villain Bane and saying that they are talking about Mitt Romney and the Bain capital issue that is going on right now.
While Mitt Romney was responsible as the owner and CEO of the company at the time, regardless of whether he personally made decisions during that time, he was still responsible. If I own a company and just have a board of directors making decisions, paycheck or not, I am responsible as the owner of that company. That has been business for many many years. That part has not changed much. He may not have actively been there but the fact is he owned it during this time. Unless you believe that CEOs and owners aren't responsible for their companies.
Anyway.... for anyone who has never read a Batman comic or anything the villain Bane is a well known villain in the Batman comics for any comic book readers and yet idiots believe this is really an attack on Romney?
Just more proof of a society that doesn't think for themselves. *sighs*

Rush says things that raise the blood pressure of every liberal and gets all of the liberals and the liberal media talking about Rush and the issue he is expounding on. There's no better reason to love Rush than to see the foam coming out of people's mouths when they talk about him.

I am not upset or mad and usually avoid this, but as a person who likes comics, etc. my first reaction was "wtf? Are you serious?"
I mean I understand stretching, but the comic was out before Bain Capital was even created. I just found it odd that people would get up in arms about something that well.. is just downright ridiculous? I got a good laugh out of it but if he was seriously trying to make that connection, I am wondering about how smart he really is. If it was for comedy then it was a decent joke.
If these are the people that people listen to on either side. I am so glad I am an independent thinker.

Hello Aida. and welcome to myLot.Rush Limbaugh, Well yo either love him or hate him. I do find Rush entertaining. I have no Idea about The villain Bain and his association with Bain Capital. Rush Is a very intelligent guy to get so many rialed up over what he has to say. He likes to get under the liberals skin and he does do a good job of it. Even if you don't like him he does give you something to think about I think it's funny that every one wants to jump on Mitt Romney and that he is supposed to send jobs overseas or the implication that he was still at Bain long after he said he left but on one talks about the jobs Obama sent over seas to Finland with the car Fisker and the $529 million loan. Then there is his jobs czar Jeffrey Immelt is moving GE jobs to China and Chrysler engines sent to Mexico.

The big difference between Bain and The US Government is that the purpose of Bain is to make money for their investors. The Government is to do what is best for the American people. If the investors of Bain do not like the investment strategy they can tak their money out and go elsewhere. If you do not like how the government is investing the only option is to vote against them and hope enough other people feel the same way. I believe that for a President to say he needs the money to provide jobs for Americans and then to use the money to support "Green Jobs" businesses in other countries makes you wonder who he is really interested in and can you trust him.

As for Romney, I just say he should take responsibility because he was still the owner. I don't like Obama either, but Romney is making it sound like he himself has to take no responsibility for his company. I could care less if he was still there or just the figure head. Be honest.
I am not voting for either of those clowns. I just found it odd that people would follow something like that and claim it is an attack on Bain Capital when the comics were out well before the company existed. There is no connection. It is part of the batman comic series.

I think Limbaugh always greatly exaggerated his own popularity but his audience has been shrinking in recent years, or so I've heard. Clearly, while some people, myself included, listen to him basically to know what the "enemy" is saying those who listen because they support and agree with him have no clue how to think for themselves.
By the way, he's said so many idiotic things during his career I don't think anyone has managed to keep count of them all!

Believe it or not, he MIGHT be right. You'd be amazed how many movies are set in a way to mirror things currently happening in the country.
Do you remember the recent Robin Hood movie with Russell Crowe. A lot of people, and I'm not talking about Limbaugh, were saying that the movie was set up to mirror our current situation. King Richard had gotten the country deep into debt, getting into wars that they didn't need to be in. In his absence an inexperienced person with no military knowledge and a lot of arrogance took over and served as an exceptionally weak leader etc.
Really Aida, Limbaugh might be wrong, but even if he is, this is far from the most idiotic thing he's ever said. If you think it is, you've probably never listened to or watched his show.

Prince John is a legitimate Robin Hood villain as well. People love pulling movies into politics. They even did it with that movie Avatar. People project things onto these movies all the time.
Rush does plenty of research. Sometimes I think he says crazy things just to get attention. He's a bomb thrower and about half his listeners are people who despise him and listen just for excuses to say how horrible he is.

Ah ok. I tend to stay away from any paid media (T.V., radio, internet) and wouldn't even have known about this had my friend not been shocked about it. I just thought it was an odd thing to say.
I also don't read too much into movies. I always find it better to go out and talk to people about different things rather than pay attention to that.
Well, if that is all it is, then that is all it is.

You mean he has said more idiotic things? I mean does he research the things he talks about or is he like one of those guys on Comedy Central who do it for comedy?
Also, this movie was in the works before this was going to happen. My best friend loves anything Marvel and DC and my cousin Kevin has collected these comics his entire life.
Bane is a legitimate Batman villain and the one known as the only villain to actually break Batman's back.
I mean I guess if you are really reaching you could say that, but is it really to the point where we are taking already established fictional characters and trying to pull them into politics?
If that is the case, is it wrong to say I no longer hold any hope for the human race?
