I currently go to a mixed Bible Study almost every Sunday but I notice we rare discuss or cover topics I, being a woman, would be interested in learning. For example, we just did several weeks on the men prophets in the Old Testament. I happen to know there were women prophetesses in the Bible, like Miriam (sister of Moses), Deborah, Anna and Huldah. Never heard of them? No wonder! They are usually only mentioned and discussed in WOMENS Bible Study group, not mixed groups. This is only my opinion but I think our menfolk should also learn about some of these women in the bible. They were not all housewives and mothers. Some worked for a living and helped people. Why should such knowledge and teachings be limited only to women? We are ALWAYS learning about the men in the Bible in Bible Study. Or is Bible Study simply a type of Men's Bible Study that women are welcome to join in? Sometimes I believe that the truth about Bible Study. What do you think? Are you in a Womens Bible Study? Did you join one so you could learn about Bible teachings regarding women and things that concern women? If not, why then?

I don't attend. I would rather study at home.

I totally understand that. I have several books about the Bible that were written for women and by women. I feel I get more from the Bible this way than through Bible Study, though I still go because I want to go with my husband. Bible Study is still a good way to fellowship and socialize with other Christians.
