Today, I tender my resignation to my boss, although I don't want leave my company now. But I have my own problem to slove and consider. I need to overall view to my life and want to grasp a better future. My mood is depression and unhappiness. Because I will change work to another place. Do you have experience to resign from any company? how do you plan your life and handling your resignation?

When I first hand over my resignation to my boss, i felt like crying.I stayed there for a year and i already felt comfortable with the people surrounding me even her. They seem to be my family. We have a very closed ties with each other. How ever another opportunity knocks at my door,Looking for better future I immediately grab it.I'm quite sad and it's very heavy inside my heart to say goodbye but i need to grow as a person in other field.I just tell myself that life is just a process people come and go...But right now, i'm so happy for my new workmates accept me whole heartedly so i never regret with my decision.

The last time I do this thing is 2 years back when I have to resign from my previous employer to enter into the government service. It was not a hard thing for me because I did not leave the place, I just change employer.

i have resigned from three different companies and the hardest was in my first job because hat is where i was really stayed for years and of course i have a lot of friends there and i am already comfortable with the workplace. Sometimes though for our own growth we had to leave or do somethingthat is hard for us. We know that we had to decide or just stay where we are supposed to be. Id rather know what is out there for me though than remain dtagnant where i was. If i havent made the decision i wont be happy now. Sometimes these if we prayed for it and if we worked on it with all we have will turn out to the the best blessing after all.

In our company, we are allowed to render our resignation at least a month before its effectivity. I've been in your case too once I got my resignation in my work because I need to focus on my review for the board exams. It is really sad to go away especially when you stayed there for along time already. Futhermore it make me sadder counting my remaining days of stay at work. However, I just keep on thinking that it will be for the better of my career. It is really sad but you need to move on and see the bright side of that.

I have resigned from my previous work because I have found a better one. I am just being practical that time, my new job is so much nearer and would pay me higher and offers more benefits and room for improvements. I just prepare my resignation letter before going to work that day and give that to my supervisor. I remember how angry she was and even told me that I just wasted their time. Before resigning, I would always make sure I have another job or ready to trasnfer to another one.

Hi, Since it is time to move forwards why worry over the resignation which you already submitted? More so, change is a must for progress. Have a positive attitude with a firm focus on your new job, rest everything will be in place. Don’t feel depressed or frustrated and above all, no regrets about the decision which is already taken. Cheer up and gear up to meet new people, new work environment, new challenges and a new life! “Even if you stumble, you’re still moving forward.”

Hi there Cale2012, Honestly speaking, I find it quite hard to tender a resignation especially if you will land on another type of venture. Since you have need to start again on the basic steps. Just like what I have encountered when I have had mine last year. That I have redirected myself from being an employee to be an entrepreneur. As I need to tender my resignation those times since I am not happy anymore on how my boss managing the company. And thinking, my mother will support me to what I did, but, I was wrong. Thus, the unhappy feeling those times when I was an employee, was same as today though having a different category. As my mom don't know how to listen to the things I want to be and want to be done.

I haven't done it yet then i really don't know how the feeling is... Your mood is depression and unhappiness, because of resignation or because of your problems? I hope you can get a new work in new place soon.

Personally, I do not make any decisions while my emotions are still at its peak. I believe in not making any promises when you're very happy; and not making any decisions when depressed. I dont wanna be guided with emotions, and I dont want my decisions to be prompted by my emotions. Right now, you're feeling so sad when you tender your resignation, but have you made your research on the new venture you're going to embark on? Have you compared the pros and cons should you proceed with your plans? Are you prepared for the consequences and do you have a back up plan should it fail? These are important questions to be addressed, but these are also easily ignored when our emotions are high. Usually, when we have taken a deep breath and relaxed, we will be able to function well and make decisions objectively. I know how hard this is for you. I've been there, so I know how you feel. Good luck!

From your suggestion, I can learn control ourself emotion is important to work. We should often ask self " Why do I make this decision? and I would like afford this change. So take a rest to think what do we need in future? what is prefer to select?
