Today's Times of india has a report on the above: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/world/us/14-killed-in-US-shooting-at-movie-theatre-one-suspect-in-custody/articleshow/15055202.cms Why such incidents take place? Why people are stressed to this extent? Why can't people live happily and let others live happily? I am not getting clear answers for this.

And who is to blame? It's difficult to give a satisfactory answer this question. We can blame the society which enabled him to procure all his armory. We can blame his family who let him grow up into a beast like that. But are they really responsible for this incident? I'd say that they are but only to a certain extent. We cannot put entire blame on either. It was his decision made at some point in the past to commit this unscrupolous crime. Probably devoid of any affection, which would never allow him to do it. Yes, these people like him lack love, they are just selfish individuals who gradually can turn into killing machines. So who is to blame? .....

welcome to mylot. I find in a few TV reports about this person's poor record in studies in the university and investigation is going on. whatever may be the reason many families are put into enormous difficulties.

I have seen the news myself and have read it in newspapers. It is really horrible. I really am also wondering why things like this happen. Those people were having fun and there was no reason to such thing. Perhaps the person has a mental problem as this is not an action of a person with a sensible mind.

hello sir ravi, This is indeed disturbing. This reminds me of the Columbine massacre and other related stories. Lately I just watched the clip trying to understand what happened with that fateful day (Columbine massacre) Some result says disturbed behavior is due to bullying, stress and hatred. It's really sad that some people can't control their temper and goes crazy killing innocent people :xxx

It is mere jelous. This is the only feeling for people to go fo the extremes and when it goes for a deep look we can see the improper distribution of what we have around and people simply want a lot which they don't have. All the answer finally pointing to jelous. It is a hidden fact and I think people call it different names and explanations. But in a common man's language this is nothing else and only because of jelous, people go for all these including me and you.

My recent update for myself - take care of 'yourself' and the world around is like this and we are 'no one' to crrect anybody. I did a lot and a lot to others and without even thinking of a retun 'thanks' and finally, I got thrown out of the track. The past life taught a number of lessons that we need to take care of. If we think of anything, anyone, we will suffer from the pain of those incidents. I tried to live like Jesus Christ, I liked to live like Shri Budha, and adopted a lots of great principles in my life from various sources. But the world around says I am a foold and they will simply loot our innocence and kind-hearted-ness. Anyway, see the world how it is ruled - corruption, cheating, killing, exploiting, brutalising, scams, political injustice, law-loopholes, and what is not? It is better to close the eyes and walk or open the eyes and walk forward without turn-around. It is life, we need to see a lot, but simply smile to what is happening around only to hide the peace of mind and we can simply cry without sheding a single drop of tears and should learn to smile whenever someone removes our tongue...

Lately I watched the Columbine massacre just to understand such disturbed behavior. It is said that bullying plays a great part. It's hard to know exactly....one thing is for sure, some people don't know how to control their anger and some are too temperamental and aggressive.

thanks1961 sorry to note that you had to undergo many problems that has driven you to philosophical end. Ok for me also it is more or less over 62+. But when I think about the youngsters my worry starts. So your point that we should not worry about others is correct. but not practicable.

There were such thing in Bulgaria too, the other day. I don't really know why people do so. Their mind must be very blurry. Life is something precious, but I think the money lately cause too much stress. More than we can handle and more than we need in our life. Everyone of us is different, the line between being normal and getting crazy in this full fake and financial world, is very thin.

In Bulgaria too. sorry. Life is precious. Once lost cannot be got back again. why this is not perceived in their minds. children should be brought with good values being told-- parents should set an example to children--since that is not followed it makes younger generation get into quick money and wrong deeds. good day.

I don't know why but I still stay behind the opinion that money rule the world. Doesn't matter if you had and have the great soul and wishes, you still need money to live. So for me money screw everything. It doesn't have to be the way it is, but money feed the greed of the people ...

suggar: money is required. money alone will not do. I am willing to give money to somebody but he cannot give me my youth back.--i am too greedy. in the contest of this families losing their bread winners is something that cannot be allowed.

Who gave rights to kill common people and small kids.He is insane. He spoiled 14 members life.but why all mad things will happen in u.s.find a criminal is easy for cops. But finding envy ghost inside people is difficult to catch.Once it reaches heights,it will lose control and things like shooting at movie theater will happen.Guys who are in young age like me very difficult to control the feelings. But if we want live happily kill your ego, jealous, envy.Started loving others. Then we will find peace every where automatically.

pnr we may love others. but when we go in groups - cinema, drama, sports, flight, train, bus etc we are at the mercy of others. God only should protect all of us.

This is really horrible. I just got out of a midnight showing of the movie and I cannot even sleep right now. It's disturbing and troubling. These people went to a movie theater to enjoy a movie much like I was doing here in California. This could have happened anywhere, and it is definitely sad that it happened there in Aurora, Colorado. I am literally glued to the news coverage. I got home and I could not even close my eyes, my heart is a little heavy. I have yet to fully understand the world we live in, but things like this are just so sad because people are out living their everyday lives when events like this tear it all apart. I hold all the victims, their families, and the wounded or affected in my heart through this. It's just so saddening to me.

I saw this on the news. I thought that was horrible. And what makes it worse is that they are saying the kid that did it has no history of violence what so ever. The only thing he has ever gotten was a parking ticket. It makes you wonder what was going through that kids head. Or is everyone going crazy a little at a time.

Thats what happens in a crisis like this. I tis a shame that people had to lose their life because of on e deranged person. It seems these days nothing is getting better at all. It makes no sense to me. And what make it worse is that when I was growing up things were not wonderful then either. It seemed to me that the trains and the city back then were worse then they are now. It just seems like more people have gone crazy since then.

i saw this incident which happened live in some united states local television .this is a cruel and gruesome act which has happened and people go to cinema theatres to just have fun and good time together. But i believe some people are quite stressed beyond extent and snd live in a hallucination world where they think they are the real dark knight and become so obsessed being a movie buff.this has led to this event being occured. This is also because their upbringing is not quite perfect and they believe only in immoral activities and nowadays crime has become a passion and bad is the good .so the society is heading towards a wrong direction which is not a welcoming change

vidhya: peace loving people cannot just digest this type of news. People do not have sufficient work and that makes them go to any extent. people do not seem to be realising of their role/responsibilities in life. What an extreme damage this incident will have on the lives of dependents of deceased -- their families will have nobody to take care--
