Re-inventing Fairy Tales

It was a few months ago when I watched Mirror, Mirror and Snow White & The Huntsman. Both reliving the ever-famous tale of Snow White - whose hair is as black as the raven and the skin as white as snow.
I was actually intrigued on how these two movies will be portraying the characters differently. Charlize Theron was the scary step mother while Julia Roberts didn't seem to be only until towards the end.
Then I got a bit confused when they have shown a different version of the fairy tale.
What do you think about the two movies (if you have seen them)?

Well, speaking of musicals-movies, I would say them are among my favorites. Thanks to a friend who has made me see many, I discovered the beauty of this kind. I could list an endless of titles.
Strangely I've never heard of the movie that you mentioned in your discussion.
Probably are not out yet where I come from in Italy.
However you have spoke very well, so they are definitely quality products that I will not fail to see.

I do love musical movies too! Chicago would be one of them and of course, Mamma Mia!
I hope you get the chance to see these movies but I do have to warn you that it is not similar to musical-movies like what you are probably use to as these are fairytales with a little twist.

I haven't seen Mirror, Mirror but I've watched Snow White & The Huntsman. Snow White & The Huntsman is the Grimm Brothers' version of Snow White. The Grimms' are famous for angsty and dark almost gothic fairy tales. They have a different approach and attack on how the characters lived happily ever after.

I've seen these two movies and they both have different stories.In mirror-mirror, snow white's father became the dragon and it has light story while in snow white and the huntsman,her father was killed by the wicked queen and snow white became a warrior because she was trained by the huntsman and the huntsman became her prince charming.those movies were apart from the original story but it's good to know that they're bringing back those fairy tales portrayed by real actors and actresses.snow white and the huntsman is my favorite though,,

r roles.. anyway i haven't watched the mirror mirror yet but i definitely will because julia roberts is there.
Snow white and the huntsman is a good movie to watch, the effects are nice and i could say that i am satisfied with their acting
