or at least for now, the so called ICZ is now a typhoon called ferdie and it's been raising fears of flood through out the affected areas.
Though I love this rain because it can our plants here grow and then i don't have to worry much about I don't have to water the plants.
But you can't get rid of your head when you think about the people who will experience floods and Landslides..

Hello
Bhabycatch013, I have seen the news that some people are evacuating the place and going to a higher ground or the evacuation center. I agree with you that they should not make the mistakes in the past so that they are not doomed to fail or doomed at all. am sorry i forgot it does affect you're business. dont worry it will pass, sad to know this happened to you my friend.

Hello
Ryanong, well, if you hang out a lot then it will really frustrate you being inside the house alone. well, we can't demand if the rain is short or long. remember we can't dictate nature, but only to take care of it. if it's rainy season, is something we should just adjust..have a nice day.

Even we are in a good locatin, we cannot avoid thinking or our kababayans residing on the affected areas. Especially those in low lying areas and near the mountain where they are at risk of floods and landslides.

Hello
Asdomencil, Some people will have to get used to it because they don't have other places to go most specially those squatters.those people who are near river banks and lakes are also vulnerable to floods. I remember one news in Davao where the flood came in around late in the morning and a lot of people were killed because they thought they couldn't be hurt by the flood.

It is really sad to see the news that there are many people killed because of natural calamities especially those affected by the flash floods. Although we are not affected, it is still sad to hear news about them.

Yes, the rain is non stop!
Good thing is that my internet connection still holds. Normally, it will be trashed down my simple rains, but not this time around.
Anyway, I was out yesterday going to the Cavite area and there are flooded streets already in there. I was stuck in traffic. The rain was not that continuous yesterday, but today the rain seems not stopping at all. I hate rains because I won't be able to play tennis in the open court. And yes, I remember the Ondoy experience before. Really scary, but I hope that the drainage systems will hold out the heavy rains. Hoping everyone will be safe threading in with the typhoon.

Hello
AgentGulaman, Same here I still can't believe my internet was able to hold because from my experience the internet is gone once the rain comes. but right now it's holding, they must have done something to prevent it from loosing signal. well, were using cable and not satellite, i've heard a lot of those are in trouble because their using wifi.

Yes, it do depend on the location. Our home is resided in a high area so floods are really not so much a concern in here. The rain will just pour down to the low level areas. Concerns in our place during rainy seasons with typhoons is avalanches. Good thing that we already have fixed the drainage system in our house making the rain a convenient time to rest in bed instead of getting problems with house rain leaks and such.

Hello Basha,
I didn't realize you have an account here that is nice. Also am glad Davao is not affected by this latest typhoon, it's hard when you experience rain if the area that you are living isn't safe for floods and too much rain.take care still and have a nice day.

Hello Chiyosan,
I feel sad for your friends, they must be located in the lower portion of the city or something. there are areas that are not so high and it can really raise floods from thre. not to mention some are actually flooded due to clogged drainage that was an effect of many people throwing trash into the pipes. take care of yourself.

As what I've posted earlier it reminds me of Ondoy too which was Saturday morning and flooding outside. The difference is that Ondoy was too much. Good thing it is not my schedule today of going to work. Because I really have Saturday work but it is alternate with my officemate so it happens that it is the schedule of my officemate. I asked my dad that I want to ready the water on their bath tub so just in case there will be no electricity so of course we have our water ready.

Hello Metatronik,
I remember Ondoy too it was really huge but am glad none of us got hurt except that the branches from our tree fell. same here, we would fill water just in case there is a black out. so far there is no rain now.when there's no electricity, then there's water because of the pumps are down too. have a nice day.

If there is one thing, I think the Philippines is more prepared this time, perhaps we are learning already after Ondoy and all the other typhoons last year. Think we have more disaster teams and equipment like rubber boats than anytime in our history better training too
. PNOY's project NOAH is also doing a great job in doing accurate predictions. Just hope that our countrymen won't be as hard headed when they are asked to evacuate or not to set sail, also children should not be left alone in flood prone areas, most deaths and casualties are usually caused by plain hard headedness
. People should also be prevented from putting up houses and illegal structures even before the rain comes, would save as a lot, it's sometimes the people who never learn and poor innocent children also become victims

I was supposed to go to Baguio because it is Mom's birthday but the rains have not stopped and I am worried about possible landslides in the zigzag road. The roads are flooded and it was heavy traffic. It seems like this rain is going to continue until Monday. Another thing I am worried about are the uniforms. The dryer isn't working and they are needed Monday morning. If only the rain will stop and the sun will come out even for half a day just so the clothes will dry. I also hope the rains won't be so heavy so that others won't have to suffer from the floods.

Hello
Yahnee, You are lucky that you didn't chose to leave your place because it was raining hard. I got worried with my mom leaving the place due to strong rain. it wasn't raining a bit a while ago until it got stronger for some reason. yeah, it's practically dangerous to go out because the road leading to baguio is really dangerous.

I guess with the previous typhoons Milenyo and Sendong, nobody can ever stop thinking again of the calamities that resulted to massive damages whenever we experience heavy or continuous rains. I also used to love the rain and think of rain as anything but destructive. I always say people are nicer when it's raining, probably because of the cool and calming effects of the rain. But now, whenever it rains, everyone turns to checking the streets if there's a hint of flood.
My friend's mom, after suffering the Sendong typhoon, now can't stop packing up their belongings whenever it rains, even if its just a normal, not-so-heavy rainshowers.

Hello Raine,
Who wouldn't? with the strong rains here now they know what to expect when there is a typhoon. those who don't live in the flood prone areas such as myself, I can say it's nice to have rain. yeah, if they don't pack their stuff then the rain would ruin it. Have a Nice day.
