Ungrateful Irresponsible Employees Campaigning to Sue the company I Love

I was on Facebook earlier today and I saw a post from a co-(ex)employee about how he feels about those people who are campaigning against the company we used to work for. Apparently, he was invited to an FB page by one of the moderators, and he saw all their bluffs and threats and woes on unjust termination, etc. They were threatening to use the coming election in 2013 to be noticed and be supported by politicians.
Even if I'm no longer connected with the company, just like him, I still have deep concern and gratitude towards the company that has taught me a lot and has valued my abilities and gave me back my self worth.
These ungrateful people are those who were let go by the company for their offenses against company rules and regulations. And, yet, they scream for justice, when all the while it has been clearly laid out to them why they should lead their way to the doors.
There have been numerous attempts to sue the company before, but no one has succeeded. Not because the company has power and is influential to the courts, (this is not that big of a company), but because all their complaints have no backbones.
I just hope these people will take their termination as a lesson of how to be a better employee in their current or future jobs, and stop the black propaganda.

I went through a situation very similar to this one. I was let go, along with many others, from a company where I worked for nine years. At first, I was angry, but then I started to understand why they were "cleaning house." In this case, it didn't have anything to do with how we were doing our jobs or anything like that, but it was about the way the company was changing and moving in a different direction. It made sense for them because they had to keep a profit to keep going.
Others never did get the point and there was a lot of anger and hatred from them, even to the point of trying to sue the company. I listened to them for awhile, then told them I wasn't interested in their hate filled actions, so we parted company.
I really think a lot of things like this has to do with the spoiled brat attitude of so many people nowadays. They think they're entitled to whatever they want regardless of what it does to others.
They probably won't learn because all they can see is their own selfish wants. Nothing else matters to people like this.

You did the right thing of moving on instead of being a sour loser. Afterall, in your case, it was really for the best interest of both the employer and the employees. If the company can no longer sustain having too many heads, then they really have to cut down, otherwise everyone suffers. So long as the labor code is not violated, that should be valid.

I can understand your resentment against these people but don't let it bother you that much. There are people who really make a living out of extorting and inconviencing people. They're just bitter and sore. Just think, if they have made their loser accusations and mud hurling public on the internet thru facebook, they are just hurting their chances of landing a better job. Many companies conduct BI and the very first tool that they utilize is the internet. If I'm the hiring company and I saw it, I'll be having second thoughts to hire troublemakers.

That's right, all they're doing is staining their record even worse. If the company had them resign instead of marking terminated on their record, but in turn they raised complaints and started this propaganda, they're just making things worse for their own future.

So you used to work for HR Dep't. I used to stand witness on numerous cases similar to your task. I sit in along with the HR Personnel who hands in the papers and gives the talk. It's not an easy job, but somehow, this process keeps the company going and growing. If we don't weed out from time to time, the rotting will infect a bigger portion of the pie.
That's exactly what I have in mind. HR and the Dep't Head has the prerogative to offer the resignation instead of termination, and during BI's, HR would even either try to lighten up the previous employee's bad record, or totally not give any information about the reason for leaving the company. And, yet, these people would still talk bad about the company or worse, file complaints.

Well, I have been in a position where I have to let go someone. I am the one who has to talk to her into submitting a resignation letter instead of being terminated as it will mar her records and her chances of another job at a different company. To make a long story short, she was proven to be emailing our price lists to the competitor. She said it was an unintentional mistake. Be it an honest mistake or not, she still have the responsibility to safeguard the company's confidential information. Her carelessness resulted to the company losing a lot of sales. She must have been also taken advantaged of. But she still have a hand in that incident. It wasn't easy, but it has to be done. The company still gave her a good review, if not really the best one. And then years later, I found out that she did some degree of bad-mouthing against our former company.

This is probably their outlet for their frustration over their termination. Some people are just not mature enough to take responsibility for what they have and have not done. Nothing right is ever come out from something done wrong, and I hope they will learn it before they get hurt or something.

For more than 5 years, I've heard the same wailing from these type of people, but I just let them be. It disappears for some time, and then back again. I think its common to most companies, too. I hope they'd just be good employees and work hard, instead of engaging in these activities.

This is probably one reason my some people fail to develop or improve their way of living, because they spend so much time in negativity and nothing productive. Can't they realize how much they are wasting for a very useless thing? I would understand if it they were dealt with true injustice, but as you have said, most of them just deserved it.

The company is in dire need of people who would stay long and are worth keeping, so there's no reason to just randomly let go of people who did not do anything wrong. I think it'd be stupid for a company to not take care of their manpower. So, if these people were ditched, they surely have been bad girls and boys.

If the compnay has due cause to terminate them, then it would be silly to fight back and make black propagandas. I think thats ill. Their case doesnt seen comparable to those who were laid off due to redundancy and not given them their check.

Exactly! There are even cases of those who just lost their job due to politics and these people at poverty level can't do anything about it but just find another job the soonest they can, because they can't afford to not have money to bring food to their family.

The truth will always find a way. Filing a complaint against the company will always take most of somebody's time even if they would tell that it would be free if they would file the complaint at the department of labor, still they will be obliged to risk their time. Instead of complaining and threatening the company , maybe they should devote their time in looking for another job.

I also think lawyers are trying to make money out of these stupid fools. They already know its going to be a bad case, but they would still entertain the complaint. Oh well, its their job, anyway. I think they're hoping for a settlement.
