Energy density of the Earth?

Three days ago, I wrote a discussion about the fact that, since I sleep in the bed of my vacation home, I often have nightmares. I repeat on this occasion that I do not believe in dreams! In my opinion, all the result of case. One person, however, gave me a possible scientific explanation on this topic. He advised me to change the position where I sleep, because the Earth has an energy density that can affect our health, even while we sleep. Now I believe, is a rational explanation, or is it simply a "belief" as an "urban legend"? Who knows the power energy of the Earth?

I'm not familiar with the term "energy density" but the earth does have a magnetic pull that comes from each pole, so changing positions could make a difference. It used to be said (at least in this country) that one should sleep either north and south or south and north. In other words, line your bed up with the poles. However, since the poles are shifting now, you might have to experiment to get it right. The energy density argument may be a rational explanation, too. The earth has a very dense core, so that in relation to the poles may have something to do with it. It bears a little research, but it's an interesting concept.

It is indeed an interesting concept! However I must say that at least in my country (Italy) I've never heard mention of sleeping alternately north and then south.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean alternately, but that one should choose either sleeping with one's head to the north or with one's head to the south, so the body is lined up with the magnetic pull. I have no idea of whether there is any real reason for it, though.

Dreams are your mind's way of processing what went on during your day..and as you're on vacation, you are probably out of your usual daily routine which gives more to dream about..an unfamiliar bed,a different room, all can have an effect. the position of the bed and where you sleep could also be a factor..if it works to change things around to put your mind at ease, give it a go!

Well, in fact, had not thought of this detail. In fact I spend 11 on 12 months at home, with the usual routine. In this period a little unusual, things are slightly different than usual, and of course the human mind can feel this change.
