i do believe they should be tried as adults for certain crimes. i also believe there should be harsher punishments for juviniles for certain crimes - as a way to discurage future criminal behavior.

I think they should. There are far too many crimes being committed by teens. I think they know they will just get a slap on the wrist...so they don't care. If they knew the crimes would be carrying the maximum penalty, they may think twice about doing these crimes.
