It is not now, but was once. During the early days of the Soviet space station program, A fully operational battle station was built and crewed by members of the Soviet Space Forces. The station was called Almaz. The battle station was declared fully operational after they test fired its cannon mounted on the outside of the station. Did anyone know that?
