What's the right angle to look slimmer on the picture?

I used to be so fond of taking pictures of sceneries, people and myself. But, after I gained so much weight since my first pregnancy, 5 years ago, I've been avoiding the camera most of the time. I just don't like to see myself in the bloated form. It makes me feel insecure. Its different looking at the mirror and looking at a still picture. I think we look worse on a picture.
I haven't even bought a camera after I gave my old one to my sister. I only use my camera phone to take pictures during our travels and events. But, unlike before, you won't see me a lot in the pictures.
Can you share tricks and tips on how to look slimmer on your photos? What's the right angle, the right pose?

The best pose to adopt is the 'three-quarter' view. Turn your body at 45 degrees to the camera and turn your head toward the camera. Turning one foot and putting the heel in the instep of the other also tends to make the legs more shapely. Make sure your back is straight and your chin slightly lifted so that your eyes look very slightly 'down your nose' at the camera.
Wearing clothes with vertical stripes rather than horizontal bands will make you look taller and slimmer. Dark clothing rather than light also has a similar effect.

You can also opt for head and shoulder shots rather than whole body pictures.

Im trying to follow the steps as I read it. Im going to try that out. Im not really good with poses. I also hesitate to experiment. Other people seem so comfortable making different poses on their pictures.
I also prefer just face shots --- show assets and forget the rest.

I feel since any how you are going to use a digital camera to take the pics, why don't you almost all the poses you can try and then see in which you look slimmer. You can keep that and press the delete button for the rest.

You want to be photographed at a slight angle. It doesn't matter which direction you're facing, but ensure that it's a least a 60 degree angle. However, I will caution you, if you're not confident in your body, it will show up in the photograph.

So, it also has something to do with how one projects themselves, is what you're saying, ayt?! I guess that's true, because I see pictures of fat women, but they project so well that they're sexiness exudes.
