Does the name change the fact.

The other day I watched a local news cast about something happening in our area. It was in depth as it affects our area greatly. The thing was right after that I watched the National news. The same story came on and half the information they left out. Half of what they did show was wrong and or even made up. I find this outrageous. I want my news to be correct. I want it to be honest. Is it wrong to expect this? Now I posted about this on Facebook. I got all accolades for saying it from my friends and family until one asked what the cast was about. Once I mentioned it was the PSU situation and the information that was left out was about the Sandusky case it all changed. They attacked me for defending Paterno. One I never said the man was right or wrong I just mentioned that the facts given where wrong. So does the name make a difference? I mean the media has everyone so stirred up about Paterno they have missed so much about the case that is sooo much more important.

Unfortunately, big names control people's minds and the media. We do not have an informative media like it used to be years ago. our news system is a total joke. I wish that our media would not report anything unless they check their facts and they should not be owned by anyone. The media should be for the people, not the rich. 24 hour reporting has turned news casters into repetitive morons wo don't even pay attention to what they are reporting. Such a joke.

They need to have their facts straight before it's put on the air. I wouldn't have liked that either. As for as sandusky he ougth to be hung or worse.

I was just amazed though by the turn around in views of what I said happened. I mean they all agreed but it was like the brainwashing turned a switch in these folks heads when the names came out.

It does not change the fact but it can get viewers watching same thing over and over again with enthusiasm. This will discredit the channel and it will reduce their viewers.
