I got the computer up and running but it won't show my mouse when I start it up. It shows the mouse as long as I am in safe mode but when I try to install the drivers in safe mode it says I have to sign out of safe mode. Never used 98 so don't know much about it. When I am not in safe mode it don't recgonize the cd drive or the floopy so hhow do I get the drivers to run the mouse and the cd drive? Scratches head not know what to do! Help please! When I am not in safe mode it keeps trying to download drivers for something that I didn't install what do I do?

If you have the "No PS/2 Mouse Found" error message displayed and cannot acknowledge the OK button, power off the computer and insert a PS/2 device, preferably a mouse. Then, you can acknowledge the OK button and wait for Windows 98 to load. After the Operating System loads you can then install your USB devices. The USB device has to load its drivers, once, before the USB device will function. If you do not want to turn the power off, you could install the keyboard and mouse one at a time (either one first). If you install the USB mouse first, when the message appears you can press ENTER on the PS/2 keyboard. Once the drivers are installed in windows the USB mouse drivers will be loaded and the next time you reboot the PS/2 message will not appear. If you install the USB keyboard first, the message will not appear since the PS/2 mouse is still connected. Once the drivers are installed in the operating system, the USB keyboard will load its drivers and the next time you reboot with the USB mouse the message will appear but the USB keyboard will work. The message will not appear after you install both the keyboard and mouse drivers.
