I often hear my boss say this and I can't seem to agree everytime. Thinking about the previous disasters that our country has experienced, I find it hard to agree with what he said. In fact, in our place, I see land developers continuosly cutting trees and turning mountains and hills into subdivisions. And what will happen few years after? More disaster will hit the place and authorities will just blame each other for what has happened. More lives will be in danger. I pass by Pasig River almost everyday. Whenever I am on top of the bridge, watching the wide, calm and dirty river, I can't help to look back at the old days. They say that during those times, people could swim and wash their clothes in Pasig River. I have heard few years back that they are exerting effort to revive the river but as of present, I do not know if the initiative has been carried out. Yes I am thankful for those inventions that really made our lives easier, but I also think that it is more than enough and that our environment and nature should always be the first consideration now. How do you feel about it fellow mylotters?

In my mind, the industrialization should not sacrifice the environment,we could pursuit a sustainable development,I think the North Europe country make a good example for us,their industry is very flourishing meanwhile their environment is quite good, they make a plan first before develop their industry and make everything under control,if we do not develop the environment too much and make them sustainable, them we can achieve the balance.

Yes, that has to be that way but in my observation, industrialization has really hurt our environment and contributed to climate change. I hope that all countries can be like North Europe like you have said. Thank you for sharing.

Industrialization is thought to work out points of our live to make work easier, which is all right, but the main use people give to it is to make more money on a faster way and that's what makes them to forget our world, the nature, the atmosphere and another important points. Some persons don't mind to forget and to destroy everything to make more money and to get more power. And that's very pity. Nowadays, the children grow up in front of television, computer (interne), gameboys, nintendos...., but they don't know the meaning of running outside in a piece of nature and playing together with other children of their age, as I did when I was a child.
