She has been away on vacation and suddenly we were told today she was fired. She was stealing coins and saying the truck wasn't bringing them in. So we will be getting a new boss in the next few weekd. I guess in these hard times some have to drop theirselves and steal.

well, its too bad she had to resort to stealing. if finances were so short, she could have gotten another job. its not unusual to have two jobs anymore. hope your new boss is a good one! maybe you should apply for the job!?!

That's ridiculous! She had to be making more then ya'll were and yet she felt the need to steal! She was in a possition where she could have advanced even further.. Now she may never get a job worthy of anything again...

Theft by employees at different companies is something that is much more common than most people think that it is. I know that there are a lot of cases that you hear about when people have been embezzling large amounts of money from a company. Hearing that this woman was just stealing coins is something that is very sad because she probably wasn't getting very much out of it and now she is going to be without any income at all. On the bright side, however, you might end up with a new boss that you will be able to get along with better than you got along with the old boss.

I guess even the boss is not prone or even immune to doing the bad stuff. At least, she was discovered and was fired due to her actions. it is really unbecoming for a boss to steal especially in her own workplace. Although the situation is quite understandable, you are also somewhat affected by her stealing.

Sorry to hear that, desparate times sometimes makes some people do desparate things. Even bosses, they are human too. I hope your new boss is someone with alot of good personality and can really handle everything better.

She must have been skimming a significant amount for it to be noticed when she was on vacation (and therefor, not skimming).

Oh really. She stole the money and then lied to people? Not a good boss. Even if they are in a hard time, they should not steal. Now she need to pay for what she did.

Awww that's so terrible. I can just imagine her situation that pushed her to resort to "petty theft". But maybe this time, she learned that anything taken illegally for short-term gains is not worth someone's good name and reputation. Besides, she would have been far off having a steady income if she still got her job. But she's already a big girl, I'm sure she knows what's right and wrong. She just have to face the consequences of her actions.
