Family reunion

well its that time of year again.
My family reunion is Sunday, I haven't seen most of these people since last year and this year i am bringing my boyfriend along.
I am a little nervous and everyone always brings something, so i am bring deviled eggs, a cheese and meat plate, paper plates. I feel like i am over doing it but, there's always a ton of people there so it will get eaten.
I cant wait to see my cousin though we are the same age and I miss her so much i don't see her much at all but, every time we see each other its like we are best friends all over again and never missed a minute.

We don't have family reunions. Is seems that all our relatives problems with each other. In some cases it is better to have friends than relatives by your side.

Family reunion with my father's side never gonna happen again, since we don't contact each other, and we don't like each other. So, it meant that we are not gonna be family anymore. On my mother's side, it will be different story though. I miss my cousins, and I miss the time we gone crazy together. We love to reserve a couple of big tables, and have a big meal served in the restaurant. Those are unforgettable great time.

That would be cool, we always have ours at my great aunts and everyone brings something there's always a ton of food.

I am nervous because, I am bringing my boyfriend who most of them have not meet, also everyone is going to be asking about college and what i am doing and i went through some anxiety and stomach problems that caused me to quit, and i am now recovering from this. But, its hard for me to talk about because i dont want people to think i am crazy.

Try not to be too nervous. We all have our family experiences where family reunions seem to take center stagre, just remember ti be ti true to your own self and your own ideals., you r family will still remain your family no matter what other events occur in life. If family reunions were always the same, they would be boring. it is good to bring some thing new and rewfreshing into the picture. We did not use to have too many family reunions, but as family members grow older and drift apart over the miles, family reunions cane be the strength and unity to hold the family together and keep that conection going. It is difficult with large families to get everyone together but it cn be a great experience when it happens.@musicluv4life (1867)

Yeah its very rare that everyone shows up, it seems like one year a certain person wont show up then the next year they are there and another person dont show up. But, they all have lives and other things to do i guess so it is what it is.

We never have family reunions, but I do think it is such a lovely idea. I like you have a large family, some of them I have never had the chance to meet as they live quite far, its such a shame. Then there's the family who I used to see often as a child, my cousins and such like who I don't see as often as I like any more, it would be great to meet up with all of them. Since it's the summer maybe it's a good excuse for a BBQ :).

Hi friend, good to know about your family reunion. This kind of reunion will help us to see our relatives and know about their present stage, we will get more fun with this kind of functions

wow, you are just so lucky i can say. My family never had reunion. I wish we had something like this. I haven't seen some of my cousins for years. I have a very big family. My close family is about more than hundred of us. But nobody bothers about anyone. Everyone is so busy to think about family. I wish i was part of your family.

Well, my family used to be so close when i was a kid but, it seems like its getting less and less people each year and a lot of the young people dont even come anymore.
However i will be 19 next month and I make sure I can always go mainly cause i want to see my favorite cousin but, she graduated high school this year and i am hoping she will also still continue to come.
she is the same age as me but a couple months younger so i was actully a grade above her.

Sounds great! I also have a large family and the reunions are chaotic. Tons of food and I also have many cousins my age that just live all over the U.S. I have some in Florida, North Carolina, Texas, and even Alaska. I'd say have a great time and spend your time with your cousin wisely.

Thanks, yeah sounds just like our family most of them are in the same state just hours away my cousin i am close to actually lived in Oklahoma for a long time so for a long time i didn't see her but, they moved back and i am so glad they did. I mean i still only see her once a year but, i hope to change that now that we are both out of school.
