Paid for School Uniforms that aren't much her size

I felt so hassled about the school's process for student uniforms. It's good that they have a ready supply of school uniforms, but what I didn't appreciate is that they only have set sizes or standard sizes for each class level. The sad thing is, my little girl's physique is not the average body size for her age, and most standard size RTWs for her age would always be bigger. I hate the thought that we have to pay an expensive cost for something that doesn't fit right. For other schools, they just give a pattern and the type of cloth and color to buy, then we can get our own dressmaker to sew it up. But, here, they want to be the sole supplier of the uniforms at standard sizes.
So, when we got her set, I still have to bring it to a dressmaker to make adjustments on the length.

If it happens like that, it looks like you work twice to take care of your child's school uniform issue, first you have to pay for school uniforms and the second one you should go to a tailor to fit your child's uniform size. It was a tiring activity. But it was a sacrifice for your child.
If AYou bias might be better to see the school to discuss this issue.

Exactly my point. The effort and money spent on this is more than what its worth. But, of course, I can't risk the comfort of my child, so yes, sacrifice is the right word.

If the school that my children attended was to do something like this, I would be really upset about that. The reason that I would be so upset is because of the fact that my daughter is on the bigger side for her age and my son is on the smaller side for his age. This means that neither of them would be able to fit in clothes that were made based on the average for their ages.
Now both of my children will be attending a school that requires a uniform, but we are able to buy their uniform clothes from any store that sells uniform style clothing.

Good for you. It would really have been much better if we had a choice to have it done by a freelance dressmaker or shop, or if they would take her actual measurements and get it done by their supplier. That way, we'd get the most from the exuberant fees.

Hi friend, some schools will offer their uniform to the students and collect separate fee for it, with this kind of scheme, school will prepare the standard size uniform and some times i don';t fix with our physique.

Although I can understand your frustration, it is at least better that your daughter can fit into altered school uniforms than not at all. For a college event, all female participants were required to state their size so that shirts could be made for them. However, little did everyone know, the sizes ran very small. Therefore, there were girls who did not fit into the large shirts, but needed a bigger size. Unfortunately, no one knew that until the day before the event and these girls felt embarassed and some even did not participate because they felt that the shirts not being made in their size was saying that they were not accepted at the event.

That's really an awful experience. And, that's even just for a few minutes of activity. Imagine how it would be for a student who would need to wear their uniform everyday. Good thing there is a dressmaker near our place and we rushed it to her for some alterations.
