My thoughtful husband gave me GCs to spend for shopping!!!

Yesterday, he told me to reach in to his pocket for a surprise. And, I was indeed happy to find a pad of Gift Checks. He said I could use that for shopping whatever I want. WOW!!!
He got those from work. Apparently, his team needed cash to buy some stuff for their event because the items are not available in the mall where the GCs can be used. So, they approached him for help and traded his cash for the GCs.
I have my shop list and most of the stuff are actually for my daughters and a few for the house. I only needed to buy a new pair of sandals, since I already ordered a few clothes online last week.
I'm excited to hit the mall tomorrow.

I also love receiving gift certificates for any special occasion. Actually, I prefer getting gift certificates or cash rather than birthday gifts. One reason for this is because sometimes I don't really like the thing given to me. At least with gift certificates, they are flexible. I can choose whatever I want for free.

That's right. However, it's very rare that people would give away gift certificates as gifts. Perhaps, parents could easily choose to give cash to their kids so they can decide to buy anything they want, especially when they're big enough to make their choice.

That was very sweet of him. Sounds like you will be having some fun shopping at the mall. 
I'm hoping that my boyfriend is sweet and thinks of picking up some cookies on his way back here. However, he has a lot on his mind, so I doubt he will think to stop for any treats on the way. That's okay, though. I'll just have to send him to one of the local shops then.

I had fun shopping for stuff for our kids. I didn't get to buy anything for myself, afterall. But that's totally fine, I enjoy buying stuff for my little ones. I don't really need anything new for myself right now.

I like hearing stuff like these, on how our men go out of their way to show their love and appreciation for us. Especially coming from those whose significant others are not romantic, I just can't help but sigh at the gesture. Truly, when it is coming from the man you love, every little thing counts.

That's so true. Even as simple as staying at home to spend time with me, instead of going to a company party, means a lot.
