There are chimes in my home. They are inside and outside. On the outside, they are in the front and in the back. I think they add a musical charm. They are quite creative in their design giving the home an artistic touch. Being that they are such a wonderful addition to the home, I can only see them as inviting. When I go to someone's home that has chimes, I feel safe and welcome.

We have quite a few. Sometimes my head touches the ones inside, making beautiful music just the same.

Chimes just have that mythodical theme of relaxation to them! Just the chimes blinging in the breeze! I love it..most of the time. I have one outside, it is wooden so it has a hollow kind of sound, which is nice. I hear it at night and it is so calming...especially when in bed and I hear it. The tin/metal ones..sometimes they just have such a shrill kind of tinkle and so high pitched I don't like them much...but with a little less high pitch..they can be nice. The wind gets pretty high where i live so the chimes have to be pretty strong or the wind will just tear them up. I used to have the idea to make a wind chime out of old keys...we moved alot and had different cars often... and I'd always keep the keys (I am rather sentimental). I got the idea somewhere to make a wind chime out of them...but I had to collect a bunch. So for years, I collected keys! But it seemed everytime I moved, I'd trash some or forget where I'd put them, as I never had enough to make a chime! Now, finally with no more moving...I have the ability to make it and NO KEYS!!! But that would be a great calming chime...keys in the breeze! Bit of metal tinkle, but low pitch to be calming!

I think chimes are nice, especially when the wind blows, it's really relaxing and calm when listening to the sound. I don't have chimes at home, I am thinking of hanging one in front of my house, but I have not get one yet. I guess my son will like it too.

I don't, but I'm pretty sure I have a set of chimes somewhere that was given to my mother and I brought back after we were cleaning out her home. Chimes are a beautiful sound and would be beautiful decor for outside in windy weather.

I love wind chimes. We used to have one in our house in the city but when my kid siblings decided that it makes a really nice plaything, it didn't survive. My mom bought another one but I still prefer our old one. I haven;t gotten chimes here in my apartment; I just can't find the "right" one that I want. I did download an application in my iPad that mimics the sounds of wind chimes. It is indeed calming and sometimes I would just playit long enough for me to get asleep.
