I am petsitting starting Wednesday the 1st untilt he 6th. I am so happy as it gives me $210.00 extra in my pocket. I will put this in the bank, and let it sit there as I get paid on the 7th as well. I will put more money towards the government, and I have 2 payments of $380 and I dont owe them anything (if I can figure out how to pay them). My credit card only has $410 on it, which will be paid off come pay day as my seasonal job I should get a cheque a week later. I will then put away so much of each pay into savings, and put so much away for my yearly car insurance.

Side gigs are always great; this one should pan out all year long. They also make budgeting easier and get rid of a little financial stress. You're doing a great job making it all come together, Ricki.

Yes, side gigs allow you to have extra spending money. It helps me out right now as I owe the government taxes money $2,000 so I want that paid off, then saving for my yearly car insurance and put so much away for savings. It givers me less stress, and worries.

It may be a little hectic at first as I have an extra 15 - 30 minute drive to work, but its more money that I didnt have before and gives me a vacation away from home.

In ways I envy you! Honestly I do! I'm not going to lie, I have the WANT to work so much but I don't have the DRIVE to do it. You have so much you do and you earn great for it. I just wonder when you get a chance to sit down and revel in the quiet and enjoy relaxation! Luckily I've not yet owed money to the government that I have had to pay out of pocket (I mean I pay taxes via my paychecks but never had an independent contractor situation here)...

In my country, Malaysia I have not heard of people offering pet-sitting. The usual practice is the person who goes away for holidays passes his pet to his close friend to take care for free. The other alternative is to send his pet to a pet hotel where the staff take good care of his pet. Of course it comes with a price he has to pay. It is not cheap. Baby-sitting is usually pass to a relative or close friend. This service is normally free.

That's great to hear. The pet sitting is a pretty good idea for extra money too. I hope you can keep saving up your money for everything you need. Maybe you should find out if more people need a pet sitter too for some more extra money
