I know that different countries and cultures can have a different way of going about things in their daily routines, including hygene habits. So I ask you is it common for you and the people around you to wear deoterant under your arms on a daily basis? Maybe you use something else to stay fresh under your arms, or maybe showering is enough? Myself I like to use Nivea deoterant and the smell is called "happy". What about you? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, most people where I live use deodorant every day, or at least on a daily basis. I do too. I love Nivea deodorants as well, they smell very nice if you ask me!

The names they come up with for the nivea deodorants are fun, makes me want to smell them all.

I use deodorant often, especially when I'm going out. I sometimes don't since it causes skin dryness in my armpit, and often leads to itchyness. I'm not comfortable with that, so whenever I'm just going around the corner, I often don't use deodorant.

I've noticed it causes dryness too, also it is hard to wash off. Thanks for you input.

I started using deodorant early 20's for being active in sports and i observe that it darkened my armpit and started to smell bad. Daily bath is not enough since i perspire a lot. I often use deodorant when going out, i always have one inside my bag with extra shirt just in case i need to change. But, there are times i don't smell so no need to use. Diet is one of the factor i observe that cause bad odor. If i eat lots of spicy food, milk, cheese and meat then i have to double my effort in cleaning my body cause it smells so bad.

I heard that onions are bad for causing body odor ( besides odor on the breath of course). Have you noticed this also?

I used it sometimes only since I don't sweat a lot...

You maybe surprised but in our family we never use deodorant, taking a bath twice a day is enough to stay fresh, but when my daughter got married, her husband was so surprised because he never saw any deodorant and he uses one. That was when deodorant started in our family.

From where I am, where the weather is hot, having a shower or a bath is not enough to maintain that fresh feeling. Most often than not, personally, when I go out I use Deodorant antiperspirant to stay fresh. By the way deodorants are different from antiperspirants. If you want to smell good use the deodorant but if you want to keep it dry use the antiperspirant. There are products that work both ways.

Good to know that there is a difference between the two. I live in Canada where we have extremely cold winters and even then I have to wear deoterant to stay fresh, I don't want to stink and I will if I don't wear it. Thanks for you posting Axai2012
