Hi friend, I think the only way to cure tooth abscess is dental treatment, and because tooth abscess is caused by bacterial infection, bacteria from dental caries (a tooth cavity) can extend into your gums, cheek, throat, beneath your tongue, or even into your jaw or facial bones. It can become very painful when tissues become inflamed or due to the pressure within the abscess. The best thing that you could do is to go to your dentist, because it need an immediate treatment. Do not drink any medication for it might react on bacteria itself or it is not the appropriate medication for it. Get well son..:)

If they can't get to a dentist ASAP,there is a chance of an infection in the gum of the affected tooth..The dentist may not want to pull an infected tooth right away to avoid the spread of an infection..a course of antibiotics may be needed to clear up the infection first.Check this out with the dentist or a doctor.A warm salt water gargle in the mouth may help soothe the tooth.

I think your friend should see a dentist or an Odontologist ASAP.

The BEST thing is to go and get dental care. However there are some things you can do to ease things at home until you can get dental care The abcess is unlikely to go away on it's own. Rinsing several times a day with coiled boiled salted water can help. I have heard rubbing garlic onto the affected area can also help. There are also several over the counter items you can buy, anything antiseptic or antibacterial is suitbale, and painkillers of a brufen type can help, tylenol may ease a little and keep down any temperature
