I've tried to search for topics about Virtual Assistants and what they really do. I found out they have a long list of tasks and responsibilities. How does one become a Virtual Assistant? And what are the needed skills to be a good one?

To be a good virtual assistant you must be good in English communications verbal and written, can handle multiple calls and tasks and it also depends on your employer on what kind of business He or She has. Its just like being a secretary or a setvice representative or a Public Relations Officer. If you are qualified for this kind of job, then grab it. Its a good online career that can make you a good income.

My neighbor is a virtual assistant, she works home-based. She usually have two to three contracts and she earns a lot. She said that, this type of job gives her the liberty to take care of her kids and earn more than the average office worker earns.

My friend works as a Virtual Assistant at oDesk. She says it's pretty much the same as being real assistant. But I think it's project-based or something like that. I tried it but getting jobs are pretty difficult, you also have to apply for it. And some employers would even require you to take examinations.
