Environment Day was celebrated throughout the world on June 5 this year. On this occasion, the government of Brazil and the United Nations Environment Programme launched the Green Passport initiative aimed at changing the behaviour of travellers and tourists within and outside the country. Some other countries like Ecuador, Costa Rica, France’s overseas territories and South Africa have already introduced Green Passport initiative to make tourists aware of the environment friendly forms of travel, hotels, refreshments and recreation. But I am not sure what the other developed nations, especially the USA, Canada are planning in this respect? Are they really serious to preserve environment? Being an Indian, I regret to state that so far no initiative has been taken by our government in this respect. What’s about your country? Also, have you suggestion to make the environment green?
