Unusual day in my life

Hey there everyone! So today for me was a little different from my normal routine. It wasn't really super different but here are the reasons why it was different.
First, it was my sister's birthday! 
But we didn't celebrate until nighttime. There was no real excitement throughout the day.
Second, the strong wind from the southwest kept on blowing and blowing hard on everything. It even blew our dog cage's roof off!
Third, our neighbors on the other side of a cement wall send workers to our side of the wall to fix some stuff. Which explains why me and my sister weren't able to sweep off all the leaves that the wind had blown out of the trees.
And finally the bad part. Because our telephone/internet wire is tied to a dead tree a little for from our house. Now the tree was dead already for a long time but it didn't look like it was going to fall. But the southwest wind here was blowing so hard. And just while me, my dad and my brother were looking out the window the giant dead tree fell!! CRASH! 
Ahhh! Haha. The tree that was holding up our wire was thin and tall but it didn't crash on anything except our wire! Sure enough our wire and some wires of our neighbor got snapped out. And for a while there was no internet and telephone.
We could have just waited for the repair man to come and fix our wire but dad decided to fix it with me and my brother. So we borrowed a ladder from the workers on the cement wall and searched for the cut wire.
It's quite hard to tell you the story like how it exactly happened. It won't sound really exciting. But for me it was a very exciting experience today! Haha. So dad climbed up a house fixing our wire for a long time. I didn't really help much except to get things in the house and to check if the telephone is back. But it was a really fun experience.
The repair men came about fifteen minutes after we fixed our wire. Haha! But after that at dinner we had a special dinner for our sister.
And because it's our sisters birthday, we can sleep late. It's already 2:30am here.

I used to have experience like this after hurricane at home. Hurricane normally comes in the night (I don't know why..lol) so the next morning when we come out of the house, everything will be upside down. like trees fallen, roof blown sometimes and leaves all over the compound. So we start cleaning and fixing. I used to help my two elder brothers to clean the compound. It was exciting for me. I still remember those days in detail. thanks for sharing. have a wonderful day.

Haha. The winds coming from the southwest here aren't strong enough to be called hurricanes. They just blew some leaves and a tree with our telephone wire. :|
But it was still fun. Fixing the wire. It's the first time ever that we fixed a wire that we had to climb the roof.

I've seen trees fall from the wind, it can be very dangerous. You're lucky that it only damaged your wires and that you were able to fix the damage by yourselves without having to pay someone to repair it! Strange days like this are the ones that you're going to remember!

Haha. Yeah, it can be very dangerous. We used to have a very very big tree. And one day it fell! It hit a small portion of our van and it almost crushed our BMW car completely. Our BMW car had two parking places, one was near the tree and the other was not really near. It was a good thing dad decided to park it a little far away from the tree.
Did you have any of these strange days?
