I was thinking what is the most portable source of back up electricity

since every black out i can't get online. but with my tablet now i just need my wifi and router also.but i don't have a generator. and i don't want to buy the big generator to power the house. i just small enough and can power my router and wifi for few hours or maybe even my tablet and laptop. since my laptop battery does not work anymore , i do plug it directly to the outlet for it to run. anyway, so i wonder if you have any idea what kind of electrical gadget that i should buy. i have read something about mercury UPS. i am still about confused actually which is the most portable and more easy to us. i wonder if there is something that i can recharge with electricity and use that as back up during blackout.

All I can think of is a back up batter power like UPS, however those don't last very long and are heavy.

is that the most portable we have in the market. i wonder how small or big it is. and how much is the price. i don't know where to ask around here in the philippines. but if i have the time to go out i would definitely look around.

Its been a few years since I looked for one. We actually had one for awhile, you had to leave it plugged in all the time and it gave you maybe 20 minutes of time after the power went out. It wasn't very long and we had the cheapest model at the time. I think we paid $70 US. The thing weighed quite a bit as well.

that is quite short supply of power. i thought it will last at least 4 hours. so are you still using your UPS. i have read about inverter. i don't know if this one is cheaper.

I think most probably solar energy is one of the best way to save electricity and also to have electricity when the current is gone. Now a days lots of solar home systems are available that can be used as a back up electricity. I think most probably in the coming days solar electricity will be very famous. I also would suggest you to have laptops that consume less electricity so that you can use more hours when the current is gone.
