i just want to listen to radio or television only. we could hardly hear each other so i asked to turn off one of the two. i don't understand why you have to play or open them together when you are not actually going to listen to any of it. it is just so loud having them. i understand is quite but i think one of them is enough to make the place more lively. don't need to fill the house with noise just to say that the place is not that quiet.

I like my house to be nice and quiet. My house after my kids go to bed is generally silent except maybe once a week when I watch a movie. While my kids are awake I dont like them to do more then one thing at once so if they are watching tv they need to sit and watch it not do crafts or read or play games during it. My daughter likes to do crafts while watching tv but to me she should watch tv when she has nothing to do not do crafts at the same time.

I feel that way sometimes, especially when my siblings are off from school and my folks come by for a visit for a day or two. Everyone's talking in loud voices, the TV's blaring, the iPod is on the speaker deck and the volume shoved to max, my husband watching movies on the laptop with the computer speakers on...As much as I love them all sometimes I want to just tell them that this is my house, my rules, everyone shut up! LOL! But then when everyone's gone I miss the noise. Good thing they listen to me whenever I tell them to tone it down.

I have a hearing problem, my wife does not,yet she is the one that has thew tv going full blast. You almost cant talk in the same room when she is watching tv. I like to have the music on softly so you can hear it, if it is too loud it is just a blast of noise.
