Would that happen to your car

Today I brought in my car to the precision tune auto care for an oil change. Everything seems fine, and everything are okay. The only problem the mechanic pointed out is that, on one of my front wheel, there is a missing wheel nut. The same problem on my rear wheel too, a missing wheel nut. I just don't understand, from time to time, I will have a missing wheel nut on one of the wheel. Last time, the mechanic was good enough to replace 3 nuts for me without charging me. I just wonder, were those wheel nut running too much on road, they might get loose somehow, and fall out while running? Or do you think the last maintenance personnel didn't tighten the nut tight enough, then they fallen out?

They don't get loose. I know that. And if they did not tighten them the wheels would be wobbly. Thats not it. Someone might be stealing them when you park the car. Thats happens all the time. You're lucky they did not steal all the lug nuts and the wheels and tires.

The wheel nuts were probably stolen. You could check a junk yard for replacements. You could also look into a way to protect your car. The solution will depend on what kind of car you have and how old it is.
